Chizik Bets Big on Loeffler and Frazier

Recommended Posts

Great read. Thanks for posting. While qb play is always important in sec play, in order to win, we need better than mediocre qb play this yr. I believe we will get it. KF has the kind of talent/potential that I expect CSL can tap into for a very special qb. It won't likely be without some lumps.

While more likely than not, KF starts, I do think Loeffler was brought in for QB development and offensive production, it was more than just for Frazier. If we want to stay at the top of the SEC, a solid QB is essential for both now and the future.

If Kiehl turns ou like I think he will AU will go undefeated in his time at AU. When AU has truly dynamic quarterbacks we succeed far more easily.

Captain Obvious strikes again!

I expect to see Frazier win the starting job, obviously. But I also believe Zeke will be turning a lot of heads this year when he comes in for clean-up duty. In 2013, I'm willing to bet we'll see a two quarterback system AND another national championship to go along with it.  ;)

With absolutely no disrespect to Mosley (I know this has to be tough on this young man), I hope he doesn't quit the team. It breaks my heart to know he's struggling. He seems like a great kid and it was his dream to become a starting quarterback at AU. I would like to at least see him take the Kodi Burns rout and play a different position. I want him to leave Auburn on a happy note, not a heartbreaking one.

I think this article is exactly right. Thanks for posting

When you compare Clint to Kodi, you have to remember Kodi had the athletic ability to change positions, but with Clint what position could he change to that he would be able to compete for the starting spot.

QB-His only probably position

RB-No, not fast enough

FB-No, can't block well enough

WR-No, not fast enough

TE-Too small

OL-Too small

DL-Too small

LB-Not quick enough

DB-Seriously? Not fast enough

K-Doubt it

P-Doubt it

We will never see a 2 QB system with Coach Loeffler...just pointing that out.

I hope we do not see a two QB system. That equals defeat. Name one two QB system that has won a NC.

Pike's turn will come after our next starting QB completes their time on the Plains. OK to bring ZP in on games where we are ahead or the cake walks. But no team functions well with two commanders.

I agree a 2 qb system hurts the team and I don't want to see that at Auburn but to answer your question Florida won a MNC with Leak and Tebow  ;)

Good article, brings up some interesting points. Does not naming a QB until fall help us in giving an advantage in how other teams prepare for us? Keep them in the dark longer???????

The team will know who the starter is and that is what matters the most, releasing the name of the starter to the media does not benefit the team only us over-opinionated fans.

And I don't think we will red-shirt Zeke. But we will red-shirt our QB for the 2013 class. Just my guess.

Are you saying Zeke is not fast enough to run the wildcat?   :dunno:

It is too fold....keeps the players from getting complacent...they are constantly trying to drastically improve themselves to compete with the others as opposed to getting the job and sometimes getting complacent.

Also, makes the competition have to pseudo prep for all possible options.

Tebow was in the wildcat.. That is not a two QB system. If you are saying use Pike in the Wildcat, would be OK with that, but I do not consider that a two QB system.

Not even sure CL will run a true wildcat. Bringing Zeke in however, similar to how Kiehl was used last year, would be OK.

Sure Tebow had his own packages but I don't think he was running the true "wildcat". It was more UM offense bc he threw a lot more than GM true version of the wildcat and no I don't want to see ZP in the wildcat  I hope we never run that again for short yardage  :pcprobs: That's why we have a 250# AA fullback  ;D
