I know we lost to Clemson last year, but we had them in the first half, and gave the game away in the second. Way too many O-lay tackles, and missed assignments. Beating them will go a long way for our team's moxie. We have a young team, and must address some holes, but we are returning most of our starters where as last year we were green as gourd guts. I have two questions for our team. Who will step up and play linebacker with Bates? Who is going to be our next 1000 yard rusher? We didn't do too bad a job blocking last year given we lost some big time talent off the O-line. We (in my opinion) traded QB too soon. We were not running up the score on anybody, and we looked flat, but at least Trotter's backside wasn't as tight as a horses during fly season. God bless Mosley he was tried by fire in the LSU game. Looking at last year, and comparing to this year, if we can sure up the offense in the running game, keep our receivers healthy, we stand a good chance in the SEC West. I'm 100% positive our defense will be improved this year. Gene showed great patience with Ted Roof. It will be a pleasure watching the D-line get up field, the linebackers lay the lumber, and our DB's shut em down again. We may even know what to do on third down again. In any respect the Tigers should be an improved football team this year, and anybody we play better watch out! WAR EAGLE!!! I don't feel great about the start of the season with so many new things going on, at the same time, all of these may be our saving grace. Just looking forward to playing hard and tough and I want em all to know that they just played Auburn, regardless of the outcome. Last year, that didn't happen in a few games. Clemson was one, imo. Even though it won't count for jack as far as getting to the SEC title game, it will give our team confidence to roll on down the schedule. We lost the game by 14 points...including 7 points given up on a 65 yd td pass where several guys missed tackles, and a picked pass by BT at the 5 yard line. We could have won with the same players and coaches with just one more year of experience. With a much better DC (IMO) and an offense no one has yet seen, I think this game is VERY winnable. CGC has more class in his big toe than the whole coaching staff at Cleamson. A Win is huge and imo a must for the 2012 season. I may be wrong but I think they are replacing 3 o-linemen, but their entire D-line...this equals trouble for the purple and orange tigers!
