I found a great article about Christian Westerman that I thought others would enjoy. As being an AU fan who lives in Phoenix, I found this article. Here's the link

Westerman will be a great addition, and I truly think great things are to come on the Offensive Line.

Westerman recently went deep-sea fishing with his father in Florida, and when they stopped to eat at a seafood restaurant he was taunted by some Alabama fans.

"They were giving me grief about them being national champions," Westerman said. "I hate seeing that red 'A' around now."

GET PUMPED UP!  And let the memory of the losses last year FUEL THE FIRE!   I love this kid, and he's never played a down for us.  I hope he comes through like we all know he can. GO WESTIE!   WDE!

Sometimes I wonder how people can be stupid enough to taunt an all muscle 290-300 lb behemoth of a man who could knock them out for a long long time... Then I remember these are bama fans.. They can't be too bright.

God bless em.

I was thinking the same thing, DW. If I were going to taunt someone, it sure wouldn't be someone three times my size who looks like he could break me in two with very little effort.

This is the way of bammer.  Taunt a kid who they know cannot do anything about it, for fear of injuring himself pummeling them, or while they are in a group.  One on one, they would never say anything.  Unfortunately, I work with several bammers, and they are all too ready to gang up on me about their most recent NC, or how we bought our NC.  One on one, they never really talk too much.  Bunch of chicken $h$#'s if you ask me.

Thanks for putting this article on, we are glad to have him year round now. He can drink some weet tea too.

Yeah, anytime. I'm glad I found it, and I believe Westerman will have a solid career on the Plains.

How is it that sweet tea has not caught on everywhere by now? Im working on my heart helth and that is tough in the south. We dont eat well and are not taught about heart desease untill we are hooked on deepfried everything. But besides some good ole pure cane sugar, sweat tea is not too bad for you, and only coors light rivals the taste.. by the way i like christian. He's fitting in well, one of us now.

Thx tingram, that was fun to read. Impressive writing too. I think this Westerman kid is the real deal and there is something about him that I like. I'm impressed that he came to be close to his grandmother and that he wasn't afraid to come from the west to play in the SEC. Kid has moxie.

The strength with bammers lies in if you get enough of them in a room they make one complete brain cell. They are still working on that complete thought thing though.

Same theory I have, all bammers share one brain when they are in the bammer mindset. They all say the same thing in person and online.

I really like this kid! Not sure if this has been said on here but i was curious if he was ever given a try at center. i know we are set there for the next few years with Reese, but it seems like we could use more depth in that spot. but at the same time Christian would rather start at another position im sure.  :wareagle:

For some reason Westerman remonds me of Lee Ziemba. He sounds like he really loves AU and the South. I feel like he will have a great career. It is good to call Westie, and Auburn man!

If he has a bunch of false start penalties, then he will remind me of LZ!

I noticed that Ziemba struggled with the gimmick offenses when a QB/WR would run in and call the prairie dog queue card audible cadence stutter plays.  He put it all on the line for AU through some tough and some successful times.

Looking at CW, I don't think he'd have much trouble with two of them and maybe even three. If he did though he stands a'lot to lose and very little to gain. Ignoring them then whipping 'em in November is best course of action!

What many people don't know is that Christian took boxing lessons for many years, he was to big for little league ball so to keep him active in middle school thats what he did, he loves to fight, he had great self controll in gulf shores.

I also think CW can be a stud at AU and hope he is healthy this summer to lock down his starting job.  He seems to have a mean-strea when he is on the field, which is something we were definitely lacking last year (among many other things).  I can't wait to see CW plant some UAT Turds this November as his form of payback!!
