Yeah, I'm not a fan of spiders, but finding a new species in Auburn, not mention naming it the "Auburn tiger trapdoor spider", is pretty danged cool.

I thought the last line about females being more secretive and spinning more intricate webs with side doors and extra trapdoors underground was pretty funny though. Seems the female of every species of animal or insect is more complicated than the male specimen. :laugh:

No you won't. The species has been around Auburn for probably longer than either of us have been alive, it's just that until recently they were classified as being the same as another, similar, species.

Won't help you with getting bitten, but at least you won't be the first! ;)
