I need you to take this sample test.

Team A has 17 wins over team B since 1980.

Team B has 15 wins over team A since 1980.

Which team was more successfull?

Team A went undefeated in arguably the best conference but did not play for a NC.

Team B did not win their division but won the NC.

Which team was more successfull?

Team A has went undefeated 3 times since 1980 but only has 1 NC.

Team B has went undefeated only 2 times since 1980 but has 3 NC.

Which team was more successfull?

I beleive in team A and love it!!!!

Ahh facts.  The evolved nature of college football has skewed so many people's view.  Win now, at all cost, or get out.  Or, do things the right way, with good people, and the results will come.  I'll take Team A also.  WDE and great post!  ;D

Well, 4 years ago, Auburn fielded the worst team in recent history filled with absolute disfunction and almost ruined the program for years to come with a miserable 5-7 campaign, no bowl and non-existent recruiting efforts (that last season or two) by the BBQ bunch.

3 years later, Auburn has 1 SEC title, 1 NC, 3 bowl wins and at least 1 top 5 recruiting class. Thank God for Gene Chizik.

Next question.

Who cares ?? Blaaaaaaaa blaaaaaaaa ....they got more championships and more wins and more of this and that and more probation years and NCAA VIOLATIONS and more dreamlands ...and more chargers rolling on dubs ...in all honesty they have something we can't touch ..they have updyke and ummm that guy who put his balls on that other guys face...WAR EAGLE

What have both teams done in the last 5 years?

Past 5 years- Auburn is 2-3 vs Alabama over the past 5 years.

Past 5 years- Auburn is 4-0 in bowl games. Alabama is 4-1

Past 5 years- LSU has 2 SEC titles, Florida and Bama each have 1, and Auburn has a lowly 1 SEC title

Past 5 years- #1 is Bama with 2 NC #2 is Auburn, Florida, and LSU with 1 NC

Past 5 years- only 1 Heisman Trophy winner at Auburn

Past 5 years- only 1 undefeated season at Auburn.  Alabama, Boise, Utah, and TCU are crusing us with 1 a piece

I think we should drop football and concentrate on womens vollyball. Maybe we can have more success?

We dominate equestrian!  :wareagle: (I wonder who will be the first to point out Alabama just started :banghead:)

We have 2 NC's to Bamas 0.  Thats too official, lets call it 6 equestrian NC's

The school the fields Team A has developed leaders, educated people, employed people and given young people a healthy environment in which to grow.

The school that fields Team A has a rich tradition passed down by generations in my family.

The people that attend the school that fields Team A may not always live it's creed. But, at least there is a creed by which to live and learn. At least there is a mark for which to strive.

The fans of Team B will have their day and celebrate the success of their team. That will never diminish the way I and so many other fans feel about our own institution - It's pecan tree covered grounds, it's sunny spring afternoons, it's tradition passed down over a hundred years, it's hey day, it's astronauts, it's friendly smile from fellow A people met 5000 miles away.

Team A needs to stop listening to what Team B has to say about Team A.

I get so sick of reading this guys posts. Everything he says about Auburn is negative.

Ya'll are crazy if you would take 1 NC over 3 NC's.

If it meant I had to be an Alabama fan, then I say you would be crazy to take 3 over 1.  If we counted them the way they do, we could claim 4 since 1980. (83', 93', 04', 10')  I will stick with the good guys.

Ya'll are crazy if you would take 1 NC over 3 NC's.

That is ridiculous. I am an Auburn fan for many reasons other than just championships. My beloved Alma Mater has provided me the tools to make a living and support my family. I met countless wonderful people there, and I'm still close friends with a good many of them. Auburn is a special place AND has a proud tradition of both sports and academics.

To be a bandwagon fan, follow a team and worship a HC just because they are winning titles? That's Bammerism.

I believe in Auburn and love it. Give me Gene Chizik over Nick Saban any day!

WDE

There's no debate to it, both have been extremely successful the past few years. For a State the size of Alabama to accomplish what we've done is amazing IMO. We have and continue to be successful, I'm big enough of a guy to admit they have to. Doesn't mean I gotta like it though.

Do you mean on or off of probation?

CGC to AU players: This place was special way before you got here...

CNS to bammer players: This place was nothing until I got here...

I think I can see the difference!

What have both teams done in the last 5 years?

Actually, you bring up an interesting point. Let's see:

Last 5 years:

Auburn 2-3 vs. Bama, 1 SEC Championship, 1 National Championship, 1 perfect season

Alabama 3-2 vs. Auburn, 1 SEC Championship, 2 National Championships, 1 perfect season

Last 10 years:

Auburn 7-3 vs Bama, 2 SEC Championships, 1 National Championship, 2 perfect seasons

Alabama 3-7 vs. Auburn, 1 SEC Championship, 2 National Championships, 1 perfect season

Last 15 years:

Auburn 9-6 vs Bama, 2 SEC Championships, 1 National Championship, 2 perfect seasons

Alabama 6-9 vs Auburn, 2 SEC Championships, 2 National Championships, 1 perfect season

Last 20 years:

Auburn 11-9 vs Bama, 2 SEC Championships, 1 National Championship, 3 perfect seasons

Alabama 9-11 vs Auburn, 3 SEC Championships, 3 National Championships, 2 perfect seasons

Last 25 years:

Auburn 14-11 vs Bama, 5 SEC Championships, 1 National Championship, 3 perfect seasons

Alabama 11-14 vs Auburn, 3 SEC Championships, 3 National Championships, 2 perfect seasons

Last 30 years:

Auburn 17-13 vs Bama, 6 SEC Championships, 2 National Championships, 3 perfect seasons

Alabama 13-17 vs Auburn, 3 SEC Championships, 3 National Championships, 2 perfect seasons

In other words, the past 5 years is the only 5 year increment since Bear died in which Bama really has any claim to being better, as a program, than Auburn is, and even that claim is a bit shady when you consider Bama has been on probation the whole time...

***NOTE: I'm including the 83 year as a national championship, because while I can see reasons to deny the 93 team (probation, no bowl) and the 04 team (much as it was a shaft job, there was still a single game for the national championship), I don't see a single reason to deny the 83 team that designation.

I don't need stats to know that Auburn is the better school!  :tease:

Actually, I was just comparing the football teams. If we include everything else, it's a runaway. UAT has the better law program (Auburn doesn't have one) and gymnastics team, but...;)
