Excited!! Even though the Pinguins are sitting at home after losing to Philly this has been a really good year to watch the playoffs. the last 2 series were outstanding. It's going to be intresting to see if these two teams can keep it up.

I was totally disappointed in the play from the NJ. They looked flat and tired until about 10 to go in the 3rd period. Other things were puck handling was abysmal by NJ. I had a hard time believing that this was the same team that dispatched the Rangers last week. NJ really blew this game; They had about 4 or 5 opportunities to score goals in what was pretty much open nets and failed to follow through. I had a hard time believing what I was seeing from them. Brodeur was the only Shining spot for the Devils.

As for the Kings, they looked like a pee wee hockey team at the mall just smacking the puck and seeing where it goes. Although their 2 goals were nice and clean, it seemed like they were just smacking it hoping to get lucky. If this is how they played through the year and were supposed to be the best team in Hockey through the regular season, it’s not very impressive. 

I hope game 2 is much better. The NY/NJ series was Awesome. The teams need to crank it up if the finals intend to be anything close.

What is it about overtime that causes the devils to completely break down on defense? I want this series to go 7 games but at the current state of things, it will be amazing to get 5 games.

Pulling for the Kings.  The Devils can suck it.  The only thing I like about NJ is Brodeur and that's not enough to make me want to see them hoist The Cup.

I don't know their sweaters are pretty sweet looking. I have always liked Brodeur he has had an amazing career. I'd like to see him go out on top of his game.

A period in to game 3 and NJ looks better tonight. Controlling the puck in the offensive zone most of the period. But puck  and passing is still horrible. If NJ can keep up the pressure on The kings maybe they can win this game. It would be really strange if the road teams won every game through the 1st 4 games.

What a bull**** goal. That should have been blown dead. I couldnt see the puck under his blocker with the. Camera zoomed in on it. There is no way the ref could still see the puck.

The Devils power play sucks. How the hell did they make it to the playoffs? Much less the finals.

Yeah, that goal should have been waved off but the second goal was a thing of beauty.

Yes it was, picture perfect. Thats the way the play is designed on the boards, it rarely works out that pretty.

I can't watch anymore of this crap. I just can't believe this is my Devils playing. Shock

I'll bet, It doesn't look like the Devils that have played all year. It looks like a bad highschool team out there playing.

I still can't believe that they can't control the puck, and that their passes and lack of being able to handel the puck when passed to is this bad.

Kings up 3-0 this series is over. I'll watch game 4 just because it will be the last game until October.

The Kings started peaking heading into the playoffs, they've been playing good hockey.

Thats debatable in this series. They have gotten some really clean goals in this series, but the play isn't all that spectacular. for the first 2 games it looked like they were just smacking the puck around and watching where it went. praying that it would just hop in to the net. Game 3 for the most part they couldn't keep the devils out of their zone . Nor could they gain entry into the offensive zone until the latter part of the second period. I don't call that good hockey.

furthermore if this were regular season they would be shortmaned most of the game. There are a lot of penaltys being committed that are not getting called. How long do you have to ride on a guys back befoer you get called for interfearance?
