I'll admit I was on the "Bench Trotter Bandwagon" but man did that VA game prove me wrong. Our young offense as a whole was the problem, not Trotter. I wish him the best and hope he continues to prove people like me wrong.  :wedance:

Takes a big person to admit a thing like that.

He made a choice and i respect it but dont see why he didnt have the fire to give it another shot this year. Thats why i dont see him making an nfl roster. Cart before horse thing i guess.

That's a defensible assessment. With the NFL, of course, one never knows . . .

Actually, I don't really blame him for not giving it another shot. He already graduated, has a bum knee, and probably knew he'd be riding the bench behind Frazier regardless of how well he played simply because Kiehl is a freakishly athletic quarterback. So he could come back and sit on the bench while either taking BS courses or struggling through graduate studies that he likely will never complete, or he could move on with his life.

Considering that he has obviously been in discussion with professional teams, I'm guessing he might have had his sights set on playing in the CFL for a couple of years and working on lining up a spot as a backup somewhere if he couldn't make an NFL roster this year. Sure does make for a better audition than riding the pine pony here.

:dunno:

I'm not sure I even knew he had already graduated.

He graduated before last season started.

i guess that didnt read right. it was obvious a lot of people wanted a qb switch and then the bowl made it obvious we probably didnt need the switch. its not like he did something so noble as admitting you have a addiction or a fault or something that is actually debatable.
