Walker, who is thought to be a heavy UF lean, has listed a top 5 to receive OV's this fall. They are; AU, UA, UT, USCe, and LSU.

Consensus 4* recruit. ESPN has him as the #3 SDE behind Nkimdeche and Lawson. He is ranked as high as the #24 overall player in the country.

You could be right, I just remember his name being associated with the Gators. I'm glad we are getting an OV from the elite caliber player, but my guess is we are higher on Mustafaa and would take his commitment first as we are already filling up at DE with Liner and Lawson.

leaning to UF now.....but we do have a good shot at him. He might end up a DT, but he'd need to be a SDE at AU, IMO. If we get Adams and Liner we'd have a bit of a log-jam at DT (good prob to have). Walker is every bit of 270 right now though. He's a beast.

Good points KK, he is a hoss of a DE at 270 as an incoming senior in high school!

He is in the mold of Lawson and Mustafaa, all big strong guys. He is more polished than Mustafaa at the moment, but Mustafaa might have the higher ceiling. Both excellent players and we should be happy with either.

I like the fact he "stays at home" and then has the ability to make open field tackles. He still has the speed to pursue though at the right times. I like him at DT though. I don't see having an abundance of talent as a problem, it hasn't hurt the Turds and they seem to keep bringing em in. Look at their underclassmen RB's. Why would any elite RB consider them at the moment, and yet they still are.

I am glad you brought him up. Bammers are saying he would have committed to them but Auburn coaches keep getting Walker to hold off on committing to them. I would like to get more from someone in the know because before that I thought it was a Bammer-Gator battle for him.

Bryan Matthews had an interesting interview with 4-star DE DeMarcus Walker from Sandalwood in Jacksonville, Fla. He said Auburn was "very high" within his top eight and was his best visit yet. He also scoffed at the notion that Florida and Alabama were his leaders. Much more coming soon...
