alexava 6,987
Im trying to burn some exercise videos. this is the first dvd ive burned on this or any computer. i ripped it to the pc using windows media player then burned to a blank. it works exept the menu that is supposed to come up doesnt. the dvd player just plays the whole thing, although the original which is a burned copy too works right.. if i watch it on the pc it works right. InfernoOrangeSS 324
Every time I burn a DVD, it warps and is no longer able to be viewed. I think the flames have something to do with it. Stripe 5
Try using a 3rd party program like Nero or one of the thousands of free ones on the net. Windows media player is garbage. Clone DVD 2 (trial is fully functioning for 30 days) is one of my personal favorites. Quietmaninthecorner 2,054
A few simple fixes that may work... Is the disc a DVD-RW or DVD-R ? I have random problems when I used a +R did the disc "finalize"? I had a similar problem years ago when I firest started. I do not remember the fix, but the cause was DVD's that were not finalized. If they are not finalized they will not work on a DVD player. By any chance did you burn the FILE to a dvd and not a rendered movie? The 'puter will still read the file, but it needs to be run through a movie making program like Wndows Movie Maker to be played on a lot of DVD players. Like mentioned above there are better programs to be had. Link to comment https://www.aufamily.com/topic/122319-dvd-burining/#findComment-1587999 Share on other sites
