Anybody doing this animal of a workout?

My youngest daughter(22) does / did this 5 days a week. I hope did is the truth.

I think she finally stopped doing it after her boyfriend begged her to stop. And he is a workout junkie,

you know in the gym 5 days a week. He said it was just too brutal on the body. He said the name of

it is a perfect description.

Tryinyg to burn it now. Only drawback is the time. Workouts are about 40-65 min. There is a crosstraining or crossfit trainning some cowrkers are doing that only takes 15-20 min. I have watched them while doing some more tamed exercises and they are crazy.

I did it earlier this year and  I must say, it lives up to its name.  It took me 2 weeks before i was able to finish an entire workout like I was supposed to.  I thought I was in good shape, but was proven wrong.  The only downside that i had with it was how rough it was on my knees.  I still cant squat what I was doing before I started and that was 2 months ago.  Besides that, I got the results that I were looking for and was able to incorperate some parts of the workouts into my own workouts to keep the results i worked hard to obtain.  I recomend p90x over insanity, especially if u arent in great shape beforehand.  Its easier on the body overall, plus u can build some muscle up along the way.

He is absolutely correct. I've gone through P90X twice, and this workout is the most brutal one I have ever experienced.

I had a guy I work with burn me a copy but it will only work on my laptop. Now I'm wishing he hadn't given me the disc!

You are dead on. This stuff isn't something you can just charge into. I found that out yesterday! It destroyed me. P90X is a great workout.

If u are serious about giving it a go, do the plyometric warm up (all 3 sets) every day for a week before u even attempt to start.  it takes aprox 15 minutes to do that and its not to hard on the joints.  If u can do that, then u stand a chance, lol.

I did this about a year ago and agree with everything said here.  If you follow the program exactly how they say, you will prob be in the best shape of your life.  You will definitely burn fat and get shredded.  My complaint was the time commitment.  With kids and a job, it is almost impossible to make time for the Insanity workouts....but if you can do it and keep a moderate diet, you'll definitely be pleased with the results.

When you get done try The Asylum! Hahaha its insanity... But harder!!!

I may have to give it a shot if I make it through this one. I am finishing up my second week and can make it through the warmups and most of the workouts with no problem now. Except the ones with the deep squats. Being tall doesn't help that.
