Its clear BVG wants maximum pressure on the QB. I also think either Whitaker or Carter (maybe both) will be overtaken by a young guy. I know he got good reviews coming out of spring, but I'm not fully bought in to him yet. He is a good plugger, but he has shown zero ability to be disruptive thus far in his career. And straight from BVG's mouth, being disruptive is what he wants from his D lineman, and not just DE's.

For those of you who seem so offended that I would suggest someone could possibly take Whitakers job, he has 21 tackles and zero sacks in his career. He absolutely is a great guy and could emerge as a big leader on the team, but why exactly is he so irreplaceable?? He absolutely could retain his starting spot, but my eyes tell me some of the younger guys (Sigler,Blackson,Wright) could be better at getting in the backfield. BVG said himself that was what he wanted from his D lineman more than anything.

Part of the reason that everyone jumped down your throat about Whitaker is bc he is the most battle tested DT we have on our roster. He's also never been asked to make plays in the past under Roof's system but to occupy blockers so 'Backers could run. I think he will emerge as one of the best DTs in the SEC this year. Kenneth Carter on the flipside will have his hands full holding off Sigler, Wright, and Blackson for the other DT spot.

My new starter list:

1. Frazier over Moseley

2. Frost over Evans

3. Whitehead over McNeal

4. Therezie over Bell

5. Wright over Carter (although both started at this position last year at times)

I think starter in the D-Line will be a non-issue this year. I expect to see wholesale rotation in the D-line this year with the goal being have fresh strong players on the field and the luxury of rotating starters based on who the oppossing player is. So depending on team we are playing you could see different starters.

I do think Frost over Evans and Frazier over Mosely

Hey I have been known to tell some good jokes and I hope it made your day.

I have heard and read all about the progression of Ford since his injury and that is AUsome.

However from what I have seen from Sanders since his initial arrival on the Plains the young man has been

a baller. For the record IMO either one of them could be a starter and produce just about the same results.

I personally picked Sanders over Ford because he has been healthier and has more SEC game experience.

So if either one ends up starting ahead of Equae I will have a smile on my face not because its funny

but because I know that their backup is just as dominant.
