Reporting players sighting

Saw what looked like Cassanova McKinzy and Avery Young on campus today. Avery Young looks a lot bigger than his pictures from high school, definitely put on some weight.

Cassanova is massive. He was wearing one of those oversized tshirts and he filled out the whole thing. Just giant looking shoulders and frame. Every bit of the 250 he claims. About time we have some size for ILB

PJM, your updates are always some of my favorites. Awesome to hear Cass has been downing those chicken biscuits. I'm really hoping he can make an impact on the LBing corps this fall.  I, too, am surprised about Avery. He didn't look very "filled out" in the pictures I've seen. Let's hope it's quality weight he's put on. I was assuming GP was going to redshirt anyway so that should give him some time to "swoll up ". Preesh the updates and keep 'em comin'.

So glad we got Cass. If he continues working hard he can be a great one. I am looking forward to at least three years of him laying the lumber on T.J. Yeldon.  :beatmullet:

THIS!!!!!!

Cass will lay the wood to a lot of RB's over the next 3 to 4 years.

I think Cass is one of three true Freshmen that will be hard to keep off the field this year. The other 2 are Jaquay Williams and Jovon Robinson. All 3 bring something to their position we need, bigger size.

Jovon Robinson? It's gonna be hard to give a true frosh back playing time when you already have to split touches between McCalebb, Grant, Mason, and Blakely.

I agree about JaQuay and Cassanova though.

Its a crowded backfield, but Jovon brings a powerstyle that the others lack. Due to that I think he'll play this year.

I agree about Jovon. This kid is very mature for his age it seems by the way he has spoken. And I think he knows that he wouldn't get that many touches since it's crowded in the backfield. Next year with Omac gone, he can step in and make some noise.

He brought power in high school but this is a whole new league. Which back do you think he'll take carries away from? Just curious.

Jovon is a different type of back than the others, one we very much needed, which is why he got the offer. I'm not saying he will be a starter. I am saying it will be hard to keep him off the field as a true Freshman because he brings something different to the table, more size and power. It probably won't be anything more than a situational role like Kiehl had last year. But on short yardage situations for example, he has a good chance to play as a Freshman.

PJM,

Not trying to bash but telling info that you get from a Tigerette/Tiger Host can cause that person to get in trouble. More than likely they would get kicked out of the group. I was a tiger host this past year and we aren't supposed tell people anything about auburn football or recruiting. Like I said before, I'm not trying to be mean but compliance does monitor our facebook/twitter and AU message boards.

How are they to know who said what when PJM has never revealed his source?

I think he's fine.

seeing as grant and blakley never played, mason averaged what 3cpg and omac maybe 8cpg(guesses). i dont think its possible to quantify how many carries he will get or who would have gotten them otherwise. this is a new season new players new scheme, carries are up for grabs. he just has to earn them.

Unless Jovon cant learn the playbook he will get carries. This O is gonna need a back that can line up in the "I" and grind out 3 yards consistently. He has the prototypical size to be that guy  :aufb:
