13:00 of heaven with Jim Fyffe calling the '99 Auburn-thUGA game. Imo, the first half rivals about any half of football I've seen Auburn play. Also I'd dare say that if Ronnie Daniels would have stuck around 1 more its man against boys and with the addition of Rudi Johnson Coach Tuberville would have picked up his first SEC Title in 2000 and not '04.

Minor detail, but did you see the height Duval gets on the extra points? I'd venture to say he had the strongest leg I've ever seen at AU.

I cannot  believe that game was 13 years ago.

I loved it. Speechless in the stands for sure.

Gotta love Jim's call at the half, "As the the horn sounds, Auburn leads it 31-0 over Georgia. Boos out I believe for the Bulldogs. They are all over the stadium but the Auburn fans are on their feet and cheering the Tigers who have built a 31-0 cushion over Georgia in Athens."

The catch and run by Daniels to start the 3rd was the nail in the coffin. Looked eerily similar to the run Rudi had against Wyoming in 2000.

My favorite Fyffe Games were the 93 and 94 Gator games and the 94 LSU games

EDIT: Here is the LSU 1994 game by Fyffe

One of the happiest moments was Ronnie's TD catch in the 3rd. That catch led to the mass exodus of the downtrodden puppies, leaving the stadium to the Auburn fans, it sounded as though we were at Jordan Hare. That was an EPIC beat-down.

Ellitor, I believe Will Ward (center) was the last scholarship player from Prattville.  :we:

Really??? I did not know Will was ever on the team. I just looked it up and you are right.

Played very little, if any.

I knew his family well.  They are great people.  His sister played softball with my daughter.  Will played very little.  I think he was injured most of his time at Auburn.  The funny thing about his family situation was they were a big Bammer family and Will turned and went to Auburn.

Unfortunately, this was an early indicator of how Tubbs would take his foot off the gas with a game in hand...no way Ugay should have scored 21 on us that day.  Just sayin'...

Say what you want about Tubs.  .680 winning percentage.  Should've had a national championship. I don't know about anyone else, but those were some pretty good years to be a tiger.  Just sayin!  :tdau:

Also, this is much more about Jim than it is about Tubbs.  War Damn Jim Fyffe!

Can't argue much with that...but what would have happened if he hadn't taken his foot off the gas so much...maybe we at least play for a NC in 2004.  Say what you want, but that cost us.  As for JF, he was the best...no doubt.

He came down to the first Bill Clark Football Camp that I ever went to.  He signed my shirt.  Cool dude.

Man we really need to get some more Prattville boys over here.

My favorite call by Jim was the Lawyer Tillman catch in the back of the end zone from Jeff Burger against Ga Tech in 1987.  "Tillman, Tillman, Tillman!"

Mine is "The Catch" versus Bammer in '93.

I still have a print of the Frank Sanders catch in the endzone to beat the Gators in '94.

I never really liked Baby Bowden, but that was a classic. I was going crazy. I was still on active duty and watched every game I could on TV.

I agree, and I don't understand why we can't seem to draw those players to AU. :dunno:

It was because of the coaches relationship with Saban, That changes with Chad Anderson because he is all class. The bad news is Chad does not cheat and recruit like the previous coaches did so the talent level at Prattville may drop.
