He visited Florida on Mon and was suppose to visit FSU today according to an interview over the weekend.  I guess he decided to visit Auburn instead.  Going to visit Bama tomorrow.

"Auburn, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee and South Carolina are among his top schools. He also includes Maryland and Miami from the ACC."  Wants to be back for a game.  Plans of making a decision at NSD.

Isn't Friendship Collegiate Academy the same high school Eddie Goldman went to? I think I remember reading we made some inroads with the staff at EG's high school during his recruitment.

And Eddie told him all about Auburn, and Tabor said he was accurate in his description and that the real thing exceeded his expecatations based off said description.

Also home of Derwin Gray and Yannick Ngakoue, who were very high and complimentary of Auburn before their commitments to Maryland.  Probably could have had a great shot at both, but no room .

We didn't take Gray because we are only taking a gaurd.

Number one; spell check.  Number two; note "no room".  I KNOW why we didn't take him!!

No room as in number of schollies or no room as in we don't need his position?  Even if we could sign 30 I dont think we would take Gray.

Ok, back to the "revelant" part of the thread (EDW, I'll go slow for you), yes, we have been very successful in creating relationships with various high school programs, and Friendship Academy is one of the more viable ones.  While it hasn't resulted in any commits or signees, the future groundwork at this highly rated high school has been established.  We recruit aggressively and enthusiastically, but with an eye toward future bounties.  I could name you at least ten high school programs that didn't have Auburn on their radar 2 years ago, but now consider us a destination for their athletes.  BTW, this will help us in other sports, especially men and women's basketball.

Free article on espn's recruiting page, Jalen was very complimentary of Auburn.

_______

_______

"That's another great program," the 6-foot-1, 180-pound prospect said. "Auburn's got a lot to offer. Everything at Auburn is great. The coaches were great, [linebackers coach Tommy Thigpen and secondary coach Willie Martinez]. I really like Auburn."

Recruiting Tabor will be a group affair for the Tigers. Thigpen recruits the Washington, D.C., area, but it will be up to Martinez to make sure Tabor is comfortable with Auburn's scheme in the defensive backfield.

This kid has tremendous skills and would be a valued asset, so I hope we can pull him to the good guys......

Just saw a tweet this kid's current top 5 are: Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, Maryland, Auburn.  In that order, hopefully Auburn can jump ahead of a few of those this year with their defense.

Ellitor please don't ever say that again. I hear it way to much from their fans.
