If I remember correctly, the only reason we didn't take Oku was because he didn't qualify to enroll last January. It was purely academic, not for other reason's. I don't remember Oku doing too much at Tennersee. I thought Tauren Poole took Oku's spot? I admit my memory is fuzzy though.

AuburnGrad97 37
Is Gus making some calls to see if Maurice Clarett has any eligibility left? In response to the Maurice Clarett question, newly appointed Student Athlete Advisor Adam "Pacman" Jones, stated "no comment, mother%$##&@". Just kidding. I will be pulling for Gus and Kodi, as long as they aren't playing us.

I will be pulling for Gus and Kodi, as long as they aren't playing us. MEGA DITTO However, it will be interesting to watch Gus Transition from OC to HC at the college level. I know Gus believes in the HUNU offense. I love it and When it works, it is a thing of BEAUTY. However, when it goes bad you can lose by a LOT of points. A HC has not only to worry about the Losses, but the margin of the loss. I think there were times during games that CGC realized we were going to lose and pulled us out of the HUNU mode to try to run clock where the score would not look so bad. I am pulling for CGM and will watch his teams every chance I get.

I'm still taking Prilosec for my stomach from watching that mess last season.
Barney 10
One game that jumps at me when the HUNH offense actually worked well for us, was against Tenn. in 2009. Other than that, especially 2010, we didn't see it much.

JMassie11 1,635
As far a Gus at arky st he will win a lot of games there....they will dominate their conference and upset atleast one bigger name every year but when it comes to playing the big boys it will be your typical give a scare the 1st half but get blown out the 2nd

This can be said for any offense - I recall that juggernaut of offensive display between LSU and Bama last November, not to mention that 3-2 performance I Starkville a few years back....I think I am gonna be sick.. I thought he was quoted as saying he went to Tennessee because he liked a more pro style offense. So I find it odd he is going to Malzahn now. tigers930410 0
So arky st is becoming the una of d1 football. I'm not sure about the bigger schools wanting to take a chance on a young coach that takes all these kids with so much baggage.
NCTiger 0
Gus helped us win an NC and stuck with us to finish the job in AZ when he could have taken some nice offers including Vandy for 3 MIL per year ! How can any Auburn Tiger not wish the guy the best ? If Dyer & Oku keep their nose clean Gus is going to have plenty of success. If he has a stellar year and some how gets considered for the ARK job and takes it there will be no reason for people here to laugh or cut him down. Any good assistant coach we have had could be our HC (like Chizik) in the future and I wish them the best unless we are playing against them. War Eagle ! Btiger1982 6
Oku is also immediately eligible, according to the NCAA and Dyer is waiting on his waiver. I don't think Dyer's will be approved though, maybe I am wrong. If it is though, look out for Arky State.

Big juco OL. Didn't qualify early. I think he went to Okl.. Latu may have been his name. I had forgotten all about Oku.
