I purchased mine the other day for $38 roughly from Best Buy  :yay:!  I have to go pick it up which is no biggie since I work not too far away.  I get a $25 discount coupon every year for other purchases made during the year.  But if you don't have this option, $48.98 is a good deal.  Anytime you can save money, especially as much as these things cost now a days is a good thing.  :hellyeah:

WDE!!!

I feel like I just saved $11 and 2 gallons of gas.  Thanks!

With standard sales tax you are saving $18-$20 plus gas.

So how is this game? I usually skip a year in between buying them (and this is my year to skip) but I have heard some good things about this year's.

It depends on what you like. If you are like me and like recruiting and Scouting this is the game for you. They made great changes to recruiting that allows for a much more realistic experience. You can scout players in the preseaosn now much like summer camps in real life to get their actual ratings and find the gems and busts. Calls are more realistic now in that you get to choose what topics to cover. If you let a player choose the topic he will a;ways choose something he likes average or better. Your team's pitch ratings change in a more realistic fashion. For example, on championship contender the grade is based on how you are recruiting and projects over for years. Just like in real life if you sign a couple studs early they will help you get a strong recruiting class. For Pro potential now they do a mock draft at the end of each season. The more and higher your players are drafted the higher your pro potential pitch will be. Also recruits are only going to have a top 6 to start so you can call and try to get in those remaining 4 slots if you are not in the top 6. On players leaving early you get to make promises now to try to keep them. Also all promises are available at all times they do not have to be progressed as in the old games.

Thanks for the info e. I am definitely a fan of the recruiting aspect of the games and it sounds like they really made some good additions to that aspect of the game. I also like the Heisman thing where you can play with past players on any team. In terms of game play how are the improvements. I have heard about the new passing and catching that is supposed to make it a little more realistic. It sounds like I may have to suck it up and fork out some money for this game.

I buy this game every year but I'll probably skip this year and maybe get madden.  I usually play NCAA non-stop when I get it and I'm tired of it by the time the season rolls around.  For those who are interested, Gameinformer magazine gave it an 8.75 rating which is pretty good for a sports game.

Doesn't have Pat, Bo, or Cam as Heisman possibilities.

Addressed on the last page of the NCAA '13 Rosters thread.
