thatspetty 0
Forgive me if this is the wrong place to post this or if it has already been posted but I just wanted to share! When students at Texas A&M found out that the Westboro Baptist Church was planning a protest at the funeral of a soldier who was killed in active duty, they formed a "maroon wall" around the church to shelter the family and friends of the fallen soldier. Iron_chin_chiz 0
Great to hear! I can't wait for A&M to come to the plains. I plan on having many beers with their fans.
Tigerbelle 5,299
What a classy, caring thing to do for a grieving family. I think Auburn and aTm will get along just fine. I welcome them to the SEC.
Stripe 5
I am not bringing up a religious or political debate. Nor do I want one started here. But as a Soldier with 21+ years in the military I think this needs some exposure. also it's something that should make all of us feel good about TAMU joining the SEC. It shows standup citizenship and respect for humanity. Posted on Facebook. "When students at Texas A&M found out that the Westboro Baptist Church was planning a protest at the funeral of a soldier who was killed in active duty, they formed a "maroon wall" around the church to shelter the family and friends of the fallen soldier." Makes me proud to be a Soldier when I feel that I can be given the respect I deserve if I pay the ultimate price for my country. Each of these students is a true hero in my book. telling tiger 156
I'm thinking that we may not agree on politics, BUT, I'm thinking we agree on how the GREAT TAMU students handled this issue. The death of anyone should be respected, but the death of someone who fought for those same people to be free to protest, deserves a special respect. What those "people" do is not even close to civilized behavior. Thanks for posting, certainly adds to the respect I have for them. Well done. JMassie11 1,639
The lady the coordinates all the stuff at westboro is a nutcase....a radio show here in ark used to have her on once a week just to provoke her and make fun of her but regardless they are some crazies
Weegle777 78
Those people do not represent truth. They represent a sect alot like the radical Islamic nutjobs. Christians get a bad rap because of people like this, just like people that follow the decent principles of Islam get a bad rap from the radicals. **Dont anybody get freaked out, it is an observation, not the start of a "religious" discussion. milehighfan 1,242
Seems like the perfect place for Colonel Jessup to read her the riot act like he did to Lt. Kaffee in a few good men.
tokizy 0
Not for nothing, I have been to Bryan TX right before the TAMU TX game. Its a pretty good scene. Although from TX, they will be a good fit for the SEC. PS - I did try calf fries......

TXaubie 567
What a classy, caring thing to do for a grieving family. I think Auburn and aTm will get along just fine. I welcome them to the SEC. Living in Texas I must say that there are so many parallels with us and ATM we will relate better than any other team in the country. Trust me when they come to the plains just ask them if UT would have done this same thing if it would have been big news.
