Quarterback Guru's (you know who you are):

I would be very interested to see comments and breakdowns of KF's and CM's throwing mechanics. I know we have been stressing the idea of "multiplicity" on offense. When I hear "multiplicity" I think of the New Orleans Saints offense from this past season, where there is the every down back (a la Ingram), the do it all/receiving threat (Sproles) and a host of different play makers- possession receivers/home run threats/blocking specialists etc. Keeping in mind the type of athlete we have recruited these past three years, who is going to get them the ball? Drew Brees is reknown for his quick release and his play calling ability at the line of scrimmage. With that said, do we have someone who favorably fits that description? I know both KF and CM have stepped up their leadership and are respected in the locker room, but I wanted to know who has the moxie under center to help make Lefty's offense go.

Thanks for all you guys do,

Cheers!

We will be multiple and there will be a playmaker. Dont know the first thing about their mechanics other than KF was seen at Big10 Tires in AU. When they asked for the keys he seemed to have a quick release.  :P

I think using the term "guru" has scared everyone away. Not many will claim that title, I wouldn't even know where to begin myself. Ha!

There has not been enough film on either one to come up with conclusions.  The fact that they are actually working with a QB guru and what they learned in the spring and how they take that teaching and progress over the last few months will be something that we all have to wait for.  Gus was a great OC, but CSL is a teacher for QB's and I for one can not wait to see the results on the field.  I personally feel that we will have an offense that is more prepared to adjust and react to what the defense is given.  Focus on making positive yardage on each and every play, something that I felt Gus's offense lacked.

Since I am somewhat of an expert in my own mind, I can tell you from watching both QB's in the film room rather extensively, that they both throw with their right hands. :P

Yep, and having thumbs (or at least a thumb) is very important if you're going to play quarterback.

Tri, I was trying to keep my analysis on a layman's level, that's why I didn't delve into opposing thumbs. You and I, of course, are well versed in the importance of this attribute for QB's. :P

from spring ... Kiehl's release looks pretty quick and his footwork is pretty fast and smooth. There was little to no video on Moseley, but his footwork to me always seemed kind of clunky. This could be fixed with proper teaching/coaching, and his release is more of a wind up.

I'm no "guru" and honestly , I would be a little wary of anyone who claimed to be. I think a lot of people over-analyze throwing mechanics a tad too much. I remember the "guru's" picking Cam's throwing motion apart lin 2010 early on. I also remember Cam getting blasted by John Gruden on the interview he did with him as well.

I think Cam will make it fine. Tebow too ( and he does have a bad throwing motion)......All they do is win.

I agree with this.  There's more than one way to skin a cat.
