Looks like AU will be supporting their football program in 2015.  They have the old 'money-bowl' concept working just great....games at LSU, Ole Miss and UF in preceeding years....and likely getting close to a million each.

Well done Vandals.

Playing teams like this is why people on here say we don't need to add more seats to J-H. Hardly anyone shows up to watch us pound Idaho 70-0 or what ever.

They played us tough the last time we matched-up. I think we can take em though.  ;)

 Hardly anyone shows up? Really? Even if the stadium is only half full, that's 43,000 people. There are major college football teams who don't have stadiums that big.

Also, the actual ticket sales for those games are pretty close to capacity, it's just that a lot of season ticket holders don't go and don't sell/give away their tickets...and even so, we still tend to hit at least 65K-70K in attendance. It's not as if we are the only SEC team to play such lesser lights; considering the difficulty of the SEC conference schedule, we can't afford to play powerhouses every other week. We consistently have one of the toughest schedules in the country as it is.  :-\

I guess they're trying to catch up with the boys that play on the blue turf.

They always have been. BSU usually drums them pretty good each year.

I know an Idaho fan that will cheer on Auburn.

Just like this guy, from 1995-2001 that was me in the BSU stands. I always wore my Auburn gear to all the BSU games I went to. That was back before all their fans got the big head. They use to be pretty cool people to hang out with on a game day. I doubt it would be that much fun any more, Thanks for ruining it ESPN.

Idaho is getting the short end of the stick in all of this conference realignment.  It looks like they will be one of the teams that have to turn out the lights on the WAC and possibly step back down from the FBS.

As bad as they generally are they probably should step back down from FBS. I didn't think they should have moved to D1 ball when they did. They didn't do all that great when they were playing D2 ball.

Based on my experience, these games are usually pretty close to sold out (ticket-wise) and for my benefit at least, allows me to get a couple tickets to see AU in person.  I can't afford season tickets ...not to mention that the schedules are not fixed due to TV which makes travel planning impossible.

I try to go to at least one game a season and recall going to the LMonroe game a couple years ago thinking it would be half empty and the place was slammed.  Apparently lots of folks like me were eager to see a game on campus....and not that many tickets were available.    If AU has a good team, there will be a good crowd.
