ShawnBridwell 0
Auburn head coach Gene Chizik was given the daunting task of replacing both offensive and defensive coordinators following the 2011 season. While such massive change can leave programs spinning, Chizik recruited two very successful and highly respected candidates in Brian VanGorder from the Atlanta Falcons and Scott Loeffler from Temple. The Tigers used the spring to implement both coaches style of play, which is a pro-style attack on both sides of the ball, something Chizik has coveted since arriving on the plains. http://www.slantngo.com/2012/07/schedule-auburn.html
Stripe 5
It was an ok article with nothing new. just more of the same doubts that has been printed before. I was Ok with it right up until I read "Sure Fire Losses: LSU, Alabama" but let them doubt. When we stomp both teams in to dust I will be satisfied. CTsaysWDE 3
Thought the win and loss predictions were interesting. Predicting losses to Miss St., LSU, UGA, and Bama. I would be highly surprised if we beat both Clemson and Arkansas, but can't hand MSU. Granted, anything can happen in college football, but I am more worried about some of the other teams than I am MSU. We beat the dogs last year and return more talent and experience. Not that it matters, because we gonna beat everybody!!! :wareagle:
ShawnBridwell 0
I think chemistry is going to be a problem with Arkansas this season, something that they will battle for most of the year. Miss State on the other hand is one of the more undervalued teams in the conference. They return a solid nucleus and will have a much more balanced offensive attack with a much improved Tyler Russell at QB, something they haven't had since Mullen arrived. If he wanted a pro-style attack, then why not run it from the moment he got here? Why start out with Gus' HUNH/Spread option offense? Why run Ted's Read 'n React/Bend-don't-break defense? I ain't worried about either of those teams. Bottom line, AU much more talent all over the field than those two teams, no excuse why we shouldn't dominate them. My theory about Arky for this year is either they will be crazy good because they will have an us against the world attitude or they will be a train wreck. We will find out what the hogs are made of Sept 15 when they host the Anti-Arbor day team.

Yeah, that DEFINITELY stood out in the OP's post. Coveted? Really? If we beat Clemson, TAaM, and Arkansas, then I see no reason why we would lose to MSU, but thats JMHO. Agreed. I've seen several predictions of Mrs. State beating us, and if they didn't do it last year, it won't happen this or the next few years either. While I think we should handle Ms. ST., where it falls on the schedule is the issue. We all know how physical the Clemson game will probably be. MSU is always tough at home, especially early in the season (look at 2010). I just hope they do not turn it into a Thursday night game. It would not surprise me if we get snakebit here. I would definitely be disappointed but not surprised. I just want a win here (3-2 anyone?)
