Scout will make sure bama stays towards the top. It is funny that ER was second only to OJ (a 5 star) at the Opening but he is only a 3 star.

Bateman:  Deserves solid 4-star rating based on everything (past performance, recent camps, etc). 5-star rating for him is the bammer slant you speak of.

Partially disagree. Agree on the not a 5 * but he was arguablt the best QB on Sunday and worth a high 4 *.

Scout is TERRIBLE, I don't think they even have Lawson ranked as a top 10 DE.

Rivals and ESPN are usually the most consistent IMO.

Kolumbo seems to like TheRinger, but I can't access that on my work computer.

This is hilarious. Yesterday, shortly after RF's press conference, the updated team rankings had Auburn at #9 and Alabama #10. Then, conveniently, the player rankings are readjusted overnight, and suddenly Alabama jumps to #8 and Auburn drops to #10. I have always been skeptical about the conspiracy theories with respect to the recruiting sites, but this is making it a lot harder for me to maintain my skepticism.

While it's exciting and fun to watch and hope that Auburn has the best class on all the sites, it's better to trust that the coaches see more than we see on film, are filling our needs, and doing what is best for the team and our university.  At the end of the day, class rankings don't mean anything and a top ten class is going to help your team.

It's not just Scout rankings. I thought it was strange how Reuben Foster dropped from #2 to #7 in the 247 player rankings the day before he flipped to Auburn.

The Earnest Robinson drops confuses me. He was named a top performer at almost all of the major camps that he participated in. I'm not saying he deserved a bump up, but a 4* recruit is what he is.
