What an idiot. I would run that kid up and down the stadium steps until his tounge was dragging, give him a cup of water, and do it all again.

I swear I can't tell the difference....

I have lived in Atlanta since 91.  I still will not buy a Braves hat as it looks to similar to the A w/ mullet.  Hahahaha

"After tweeting a few lines of bravado, Hunter wrote, "We need to do like Cali ____ and kill cops," an obvious oversight that will likely earn him a few laps around the training facility this summer."

That's the attitude of what punishment threatening the police deserves ?  He should be arrested for such and consequently thrown off the team.

That explains the mindset of so many of today's youth/young adults.  Whatever happened to "Yes sir, officer", then accepting responsibility for what you did wrong.  It's not like he was going to be arrested for making a illegal turn, and having a seatbelt on "incorrectly".  WTH does that even mean, anyway?  Based on those tweets, I am guessing he isn't majoring in English or Literature at FSU.  Now that fundamental life lessons such as respect for authority, respect for other people and respect for education have gone by the wayside, I am truly scared of who will be running our country when I am older.

So....who copied who? :dunno:

The turds stole the Braves "A" logo.  My theory (and I'm stickin' to it!) is because they knew it was loved by millions all over the south (remember that Atlanta was the only baseball team in the southeastern US for a few decades) and also around the country (remember that Ted Turner made Atlanta "America's Team" in the 70s and 80s with WTBS broadcasting all over the US in cable's infancy).  They modified the Atlanta "A" by "turning over" the crossing line at the center and adding what everyone except the turds call the "mullet" on top.  I always thought the Braves should have fought it/sued because they have definitely lost a segment of their fanbase as far as purchasing Atlanta "A" gear, because particularly for fans of uat's big SEC foes (AU, UTk, uga) they would rather die than be considered a turd fan.  Unfortunately for the Braves, those are the 3 SEC fanbases that are closest to Atlanta.

I think one of the prudent responses that Atlanta has apparently come up with is to put out more gear with an "A" with the tomahawk as the crossing line at the center to remove all doubt.

Now back to talking bad about foolish college students who will hopefully be severely punished... angry.gif

This kid's comments fall under free speech--but what an idiot. I'd probably suspend him for a game.

If he said them about the president of the United States, would it be tolerated as free speech then?

I disagree, threats to law enforcement officials do not fall under the free speech amendment, IMO.

Actually they do, ASSUMING that the comments are not specifically targeting a particular person. That's why, for example, NWA was able to release "F*** the Police" without being arrested. That being said, its disgusting to use free speech in that way, whether you can get away with it or not.

The difference is that in that case they would be referring to a single person.

And there is a specific law that forbids threatening the President.  (18 USC § 871)

the bammers coppied the braves I'm guessing some time in the late 90's or later as all their gear use to have a block "A" or a Block "A" with an elephant in the center. When I came back from the west coast in 2001 they were all sporting the new A with the gay mullet.  The Braves have had their "A" for as long as I can remember.

FSU looks like they could become the new UGA.. Full of thugs

I don't keep up with FSU much but it seems like they've had a lot of guys in trouble for years now.

What this guy said is wrong to say referring to ANYBODY. It doesn't make it special and worse because it's a cop or president. I know most people love to hold some humans higher than other humans but really at the end of the day they aren't any more special than the next guy. That's not to say you don't appreciate what they do, I'm just saying no need to make them out to be more than what they are. Regular people do good things for this world and others too.

You don't say crap like this talking about anybody.
