from my fellow Auburn fans. Stay classy and represent Auburn in the best light possible. Make it a point to gently get this word across to every Auburn fan that you know. I can sense that the Auburn nation* family can feel something is about to happen. Other fanbases feel it too. We may not win a national championship but we will be one of the deciding factors for the next few years. Over the last 30 years Auburn has been in the elite of college football but the nation still looks down on us. Bama nation wants everyone to think that we are still hidden in their shadows. Chiz and company is about to finish what Dye started. Auburn will have success! Auburn will be a national power year in and year out! The nation will see the light from “The Loveliest Village On The Plains”! We as fans need to stay classy and keep our heads screwed on straight. Don't forget where we have been and who we are. It only takes one whisper to start an entire movement. Hey nation, "Welcome to Auburn".

*Thanks, and War Eagle

”To me Auburn is not in Auburn, Alabama,”... “Auburn is the people who care about Auburn, the people who love Auburn. Wherever they are, that’s Auburn, Auburn is in your heart."

A few more random copy and paste things to read:

"The spirit of the Auburn family is a magical, mystical thing. It defies explanation. It transcends wins and losses on a football field. It imprints itself on your character and can never be extinguished. Being an Auburn fan defines part of who and what you are..."

"you can see a light at the end of the tunnel. But there's a TRAIN a'comin"

"When you talk about the epitome of what the college football experience is all about ... that's it. Auburn is the epitome. You couldn't possibly be unaware of the spectacle, even if you were trying to be unaware." ...

When Dye took over the Auburn program, legendary Alabama coach Paul "Bear" Bryant told his former assistant that the Iron Bowl would always be played in Birmingham. After all, Auburn had inferior facilities and couldn't handle those kind of crowds. When Bryant died, his replacement, Ray Perkins, reiterated those words. Dye made him eat those words in 1989, when Auburn hosted the Iron Bowl for the first time. Fans who attended that game still maintain they've never heard it any louder in Jordan-Hare.

"I just want to be remembered as a coach that had his team on the field that played the way they were supposed to play," Dye said. "We won a lot of big games and some championships, but it's not anything other coaches haven't done. I came to Auburn when Auburn was struggling. We needed a change in attitude and a change in expectations."

"He made it seem like there was a sense of family and that's what attracted me to Auburn," White said. "Basically, it's a 110-person family. He wasn't there just to make you a better player, but a better person. His whole purpose was to turn you from a boy into a man. He was a tough guy, a hard-nosed, blue collar guy who expected you to come to work every day because he was."

"His biggest contribution was changing the Auburn people's attitude and way of thinking," Housel said. "Because he was able to do that, we won a lot of football games and brought the Alabama game here. It went from a negative 'Who's out to get us' attitude to a positive 'What can we do to make Auburn better' attitude. When Auburn thought that way, it began to win and get better and everything changed."

Great post.  Yes, I think we, the Auburn Family, do feel something special is happening.  I don't think we have to tell the majority of Family to handle it with class.  I think most of us do.  But, we should talk among ourselves about it.

We are a family not a nation.

But....the rest of his post sounds great. I, for one, am going to try to get to the A&M game if I don't get to any other game this year to welcome them to Auburn and show them how the AU family is supposed to act. Win or lose I think the OP has a good point. Be humble in winning and respectful in losing. No matter what, show class.

War Eagle! I haven't been able to make it to Jordan Hare in 4 years(family and work) but I'm gonna make it to a game this year. This I promise myself. I want to see the start of greatness in person. Good post! War Eagle and god bless my Auburn family!

I have met a few fans of Auburn that are considerably new for whatever reasons. We will have more soon. Bandwagon or not they are seen to everyone else as Auburn. <<< Just a simple plea to keep this in mind as the family grows.
