LOL yea they let him speak for a bit, since it was the 40 year anniversary of Punt bama Punt.  Even had a decent video of some of the game with Gary Sanders Commentary.  Made me feel really old.

Two Langner's, Chuck and David. Night/day, oil/water, left/right. Very different, both great football players though.

I know Chuck much better than David.  I coached youth football with Chuck for several years.  Great guy!  And you are correct, two totally different personalities.

Yea it was Great, met Lewis Colbert, he's an inspiration to us all.  CGC spoke and said basically the same things he said at Media Days.  Actually had on a Sharp suit.  It was worth the trip to try and survive Hwy 280.

I was there....it was great.  The largest crowd since I have been going.  Got Coach Chiz to sign my book finally.  He really is a personable guy up close.

I was at the game on Dec. 2, 1972 but it seems soooooooooo long ago but I never get tired of that replay.  Had the broadcast on an 8 track tape long ago.

He used to date a relative of mine long before he got married, stayed in touch over the years and he is a great guy. Still see him on occassion, been the same forever. Fine man.

Yeah CGC did look sharp yesterday, glad it was a good crowd and a good time.

I live out that way ref, welcome to my traffic world ref :banghead::laugh:

That game was on the radio, not TV, I was a wee munchkin, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. ;D

The den where we were listening was torn up, we went nuts :hellyeah: Always be one of the highilights of the rivalry. Once in a lifetime, if even then, event and way it happened. HEHEHEHE, WDE!!!!!!

I am moving to Birmingham soon and would like some more info on the AU club. Anything in particular that you have to do to attend these meetings?

Not that I know of,  I just work in B'ham and showed up.  I'm sure they would love to accept new members though.

Just go to the Greater Bham AU club site and all the contact info is there. Events like last night are $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Game watch parties, fund raisers and some fun events. Good info source and good people.
