AUbritt 611
Good grief. I'm sure this is why the SEC is dominating college football. I note that someone should put a limit on periods used in NYTs articles. Why on earth would they write 'SEC' but 'N.C.A.A' and 'F.B.S.'?!
Plaric 4
What it all comes down to....is if they do this, schools will just invent new jobs in other areas of the school that have "secondary duties" that may or may not be listed in the job description. I think part of the solution is to bring out the names of the presidents/chancellors and athletic directors when things that are questionable are discovered and rub their names/reputations in the mud with it to see if they will demand more ethical practices from their head coaches. They need to take back control of their universities from the too-powerful head coaches that put winning above everything else. You can't write rules fast enough to cover everything folks can come up with. Some things should be off limit just because of fairness and ethics whether there is a rule in place about it or not.
