We are being overlooked and being picked to finish 6-6 is a slap I'n the face. Hearing info from POPs and players I think the sec is fixing to get alittle surprise kick I'n the teeth. We have alot of talent and if that comes together I see AU I'n the sec championship game. Recruiting is off the chart special If we get these guys future looks awesome for along time. If you listen to the pundits, yeah, but UT returns like 20 starters, including a QB who was looking pretty danged good before getting hurt last year. I actually think Auburn is the longer shot to rep the West due to a higher level of competition.

I agree we are a long shot, due to what you said. If I was a UT fan though, I would have no confidence in my HC. I just think he is out of his league in our league. They do have an outstanding QB though IMO. I have to go with all of the gum bumpers and say it will probably be UGA/S. Car in the East.

Oh...and I can't decide how to vote on this poll. I keep going back and forth and see pro's and con's with each.

Dooley inherited a very disheveled program; read an article recently about all the attrition they went through first when Kiffin came on and then after he left and Dooley was the new coach. They started 17 freshmen in 2010, which means they have 17 third year starters this season unless a couple of those freshmen got beaten out by someone else last year. I think they are going to be much better than expected this year...combine that with the weak schedule, and I think they have a pretty decent shot at it, all things considered.

Why all this hate on Dooley? You guys realize that his father is an Auburn alumnus, right? If they do well this year, it will be because of him pulling the program together through a really tough stretch.

I love Coach and Mrs. Dooley. My mom and her were great friends in college. I just think he is out of his element in the SEC as a coach. I read some articles last year by UT insiders, journalist and former player's, that said basically the inmates were running the asylum. I hope he does well there. I just haven't seen any signs that he will. This season is his make or break year IMO.
