LSU is getting an upgrade to their stadium, moving it close to 100,000 seats.. I seriously hope that Jordan Hare gets an expansion relatively soon..

search and you'll see.  FWIW, a plan to expand is being worked on, but it is a very VERY long way away.  That said I expect JHS to get a significant facelift/upgrade in the near future.

I don't think it should be that long away. I saw an article on al.com where Jay Jacobs mentioned a "master plan" dating back to August 2010. I think renovations and expansion should be done all at once. They need to make the student section larger for sure.

If we win the NC in the next 2 to 3 years again the money will be there. We don't want to risk empty seats, but we also don't want to get behind. Having 10K - 15K more vocal fans helps the home field advantage.

I'd just love it if they had enough seats to make a couple hundred tickets available for individual purchase, from the university, for every home game.  Then I could easily go to game or two each year without having to bend over for stub hub or another ticket broker who wants to screw me out of money they don't deserve.

I wouldn't even expect that much. Maybe a capacity expansion to 95k would be plenty to me. They just need to expand the student section and close the south endzone to get rid of that disgusting scoreboard and add seats. It should be apparent to everyone that this program is moving in a forward direction. We are not going to be going downhill with this current staff, and honestly as long as Gene is head coach.
