This is what our defensive front seven will be picking up (in addition to some other players) according to Rivals rankings:

#3 Strong Side DE (#15 player overall)

#1 Weak Side DE (#14 player overall)

#1 Defensive Tackle (#10 player overall)

#1 Inside LB (#2 player overall)

#2 Inside LB (#42 player overall)

C'mon Montravius, you know you want to be a part of this.

Yep, and we loaded up on OL last year. The results may not show as fast as some people want, but we are well on our way to having the personnel and depth to compete with any team in the SEC.

Close to the point where we are just re-stocking and not counting on true freshmen to step in and carry the load. The point to where, as GCG says, we are recruiting to replace our juniors, not our seniors.

Close to the point where our second team is as good as our first and the third string guys are pushing the second teamers.

I've been wondering if Chizik and co planned it this way; loading up on OL then next year loading up on the front 7 on D.  OL need a red shirt year while DLs and LBs don't necessarily need a redshirt.  Then in 2013 we trot out massive amounts of young talent on both lines and take over the trenches.

Probably had general plans along those lines and is also probably dictated by the talent in each class.

Sounds good to me.

I'll read that as any team in the SEC W which equates to the nation based on performance (history) and recruiting (future).

Yup, things are lookinng good for the good guys!

^^^THIS^^^^. If you are competitive in the SEC, especially the SEC west, you are competitive nationally. Iron Sharpens Iron.

Im glad they are going heavy on the D-line.  Heck at the rate we were going we would have trouble stoping the local 5th grade P.E. class if they wanted to run the ball.  And they would have been CoEd to make it worse.

undecided.gif That's a ridiculous statement...and I think these guys would probably disagree with it too:

Nosa Eguae         DE JR

Dee Ford         DE JR

Corey Lemonier DE JR

Craig Sanders DE JR

Jeffrey Whitaker DT JR

Angelo Blackson DL SO

Devaunte Sigler DL SO

Gabe Wright DL SO

Keymiya Harrell DE FR

Tyler Nero         DL FR

JaBrian Niles DL FR

I agree with Herk, this is a pretty ridiculous statement.  I fixed it for you and made it yellow.

Im just saying that what we have been seeing is not Auburn D.  You can blame it on youth, coaching, or whatever.  We have got to get back to the way Auburn plays D.  At times last year it was hard to watch.  Especially every week going into a game I would say this is the game we get back to Auburn football and it was the same mistakes over and over.  I love Auburn and the players the same.  It's just upsetting when you remember the way it was...WDE
