Away Game Idea?

I have been thinking about this for sometime now. I think we should have away games played on the screen at J-H. They could charge like 5 bucks for people to get in. It would be for all the fans that didn't wanna travel or couldn't find tickets. It would be a great way to experience game day in Auburn every game. Being around Auburn fans is the best...

What does everyone else think?

I think for the bigger games it would be neat. The only thing holding it back would probably be cleanup, and the school having to give some of that income to the workers. Has anyone pitched this idea to them?

I like the idea TU. But I think Beard-Eaves would be a better idea. I dont think so many people would come that it would over-flow out of the coloseum. Plus you can see the video screens from much closer.

I think the atmosphere would be a lot better because it would get very loud and everybody would be close. In Jordan-Hare, it would seem kind of empty and dull I'm afraid because only 8-10,000 would show up. But those same 8-10,000 would pack the coloseum and provide a lot of electriciy in the air.

I don't know about charging money for watchin it on the big screen...but it would be pretty fun. I don't think as many people would go if they had to pay for something they could see at home or at a bar or restaurant.

When I was a student Auburn had an away game with Fla.Fla at the time was on probation and could not be on tv..Auburn provided a big screen tv in the Beard Eaves (sp) Projection style satilite feed. They had 2 screens set up for each side of the Colisium. it was a great way to watch a foot ball game...They did charge i think 5 bucks for regular people and a buck for students...It was well worth It I took my dad... But a great time was had by all...after that i do not remember them ever doing it again..Pat Dye was our coach and i think Charlie Pell was Fla Coach at the time....

any way I like the idea and I would really like to see an iron Bowl that way that would be cool ...
