Doesn't mean much. Schedules are made up well in advance, so there's no way they could have known we would be having a down year. Scheduling a team that has beat you as many years as we have (27-9 overall, 9 of last 11 in Oxford) for homecoming is a head-scratcher, but I don't think it is because they knew Auburn would be a sure win. I look for us to power through them on the ground Saturday, and get our first SEC win. It won't be pretty, but it will be a win nonetheless.

Schedules are made up several years in advance but are homecoming games set that far? I doubt Oregon, LSU, Texas, etc are very many teams homecoming games. Look at our usual homecoming opponents as example. Just sayin..

It's nice to see the unnecessary negativity continues. The schedule was made long before Auburn's recent struggles.

I never ever dreamed we'd be somebodies homecoming game. But we really have fallen that far down. Unless we make a huge splash hire with our next head coach, it will take years and years before we're even able to think about getting back on top in the SEC and in the nation. But if don't make a head coaching change, we can look for more of what we've been watching in 2011 and 2012.

At the start of the year that was already the case, it has nothing to do with how we have played this year. 6 of the therapists in my office are ole miss alums and they'd asked me to the game and I saw we would be their homecoming then. At the time we both assumed it would mean ole miss wouldn't win homecoming but this may not be the case now
