Micheal Dyer's return?

What are the chances of getting Micheal back after he finishes his associates degree? From all articles I have read, he is really trying to make a change in his life. I believe everyone deserves a second chance. I just hope the best for him.

"Everyone deserves a second chance;" one of the most overused sayings ever, particularly in sports. Michael Dyer had his second chance at Arkansas St. and he blew it. One could argue it was his third chance as he had the opportunity to return this year and chose not to. I hate to be hard on the kid because people can indeed change, but for Dyer he's likely gonna have to prove he's changed somewhere else. We're already gonna be stacked at RB next year with Mson, Blakely, Grant, Wilkins, Robinson, and possibly Green. But despite everything I just wrote...if he chose to come back and was actually allowed back I'd most certainly be rooting for him both on the field and off.

I have a better chance of playing football at Auburn than Dyer does. I'm not bad for a slow, pushing 50 year old, not as fast as I used to be grandfather.

I'll admit it: the thought crossed my mind. If it's really the case the kid is building a new life and learning genuine humility, then God bless him however it turns out.

Unlike many on the board, I don't think Dyer would be making a big dent in things right now. It's not obvious to me how far down the step is to Mason, and we can't even hand the ball to him. I'll grant that Dyer is spectacular, but Mason is very darn good.

These stats are always relative to lots of other things, but given the mess that's been our offense this year here's something to consider. Mason is currently averaging 5.2 YPC. Dyer 2011? 5.1.

I seriuosly doubt it but I wouldn't dare say it will never happen. IMO coach

Chizik appears to be the kind of person that will give Dyer another chance

IF HE WAS INDEED REHABILITATED FROM ALL PREVIOUS ISSUES, GAVE A SINCERE APOLOGY

TO EVERYONE AND SERVE THE PUNISHMENT HE SET FORWARD FOR HIM TO RETURN!

I don't think AU should close the door to the idea of Dyer coming back if he truly has gotten his life together and wants to be a part of the TEAM. There's no guarantee that any of these recruits that have been mentioned will sign with AU, especially with the season we're having. Jovon Robinson may or may not be a part of the team in the future.

Perfect! This is exactly what I thought of when Stat posted that!

If Michael really has his life back on track, then maybe he could earn his way back on the team sometime next year. However, if we have a whole new coaching staff in 2013, then I doubt we'll see Michael in AU O&B again.

I think it's more likely to spot Bigfoot in the pressbox than see dyer in an Auburn uniform.

Dyer loaned his gun to those 4 former players, knowing that they were going to use it to commit a felony. No way do we want this guy back.

That's the main reason ^^^^^. Dyer burned a lot of bridges as he left and more when he came back to testify in the trial and displayed the attitude he still had then. If he was suppose to sit out 6 AU games or some such thing, he has done that for sure. Strange things have happened, but Dyer would have to display a total personality change. I just don't think CGC would ever take him back.

If he completes his assoc. degree and shows he's turned it around, a major program will snatch him so fast, your head will swim.
