Check this address on WND.com. Any doubts about where Obama's loyalty lies? He said it previously anyway, when he said he would side with the Muslims if it came down to it. This article is up on WND and other sites.

Did you notice that this is the quote from the source ?

" In addition to citing the Duke professor who confirmed that the script appears to be Arabic "

So, hanging your hat on a fuzzy photo, an unnamed Duke Professor who has , " confirmed that the script appears to be Arabic " .

OK, good enough for me :homer:

I believe that's why I served my country, so others can have "FREEDOM OF RELIGION", of which I do not practice, thank you very much.

If I don't get to shake your hand on 11.12th, Happy our day and Thank you.

What's stupid is, the ring says nothing about any religion at all. It's a complete urban legend.

And the people at Duke are really good at keeping facts straight. Just ask the Lacrosse team there.

I couldn't care less what religion people believe in. Even the folks that gave the Roman Catholic Church the Jesus story wish for us to die..

That isn't the issue, and I believe you know that.

Looks weird though, like snakes? What ever people want........

snake03.jpg

I think AURaptor actually almost figured it out.

Consider the image above a two headed green snake . Now who else uses green snakes in art such as these ?

These are either Celtic snakes or very similiar to them . Sorry, mods won't allow me to cut an past obvious similiar photos. Hummmm

Now according to e-How:

The Celtic snake is one of many nature-inspired symbols displayed by practitioners of pagan religions. Artwork from Celtic druids often displays their gods with animals as companions, servants or appendages, and snakes are among these animals. Celtic snakes symbolize the notion of rebirth, and are often displayed as part of Celtic knots, according to Celtic Publications of Dublin, Ireland

So, put the pieces together and Barack Oboma is acutually the Irishman Arack O'Boma and he is a practicing Druid .

So maybe no Christian would wear this ring. What we have here is a celtic tree worshipper !!!!

That is at least as good as the theory of our unidentified Duke professor . :outtahere:

The image I posted was from the movie, Conan: The Barbarian. It's the symbol for the cult of Thusla Doom.

As a side note, in the close up pic of the ring, it appears that some flakes of gold have rubbed off on the skin, What's up w/ that ? :gofig:

If the Duke prof said there were markings on the ring, which looked like some form of Elvish, then I'd have called BS.

THAT ring was unmade, long ago.

Wasn't it ?

It's not. The link I posted shows that.

Ill have to say, the pic did seem to be a stretch with those overlays. I had never heard of this ring until you guys started this thread. Don't think it is a big deal either way.

It is a big deal if it is true. Urban legends website aside, the articles I read are not from frivolous sources, and I can't believe they were published without some checking. It bothers me greatly if our president desires to side with muslims, ever.

Lots of things could be a big deal if they were true. Mars could be populated by little green men. Big deal if true. The problem is, it's not true and neither is this right-wing fringe dust-up about a ring.

The urban legend site has a much better, closer up, hi-res photo of it than your sources. The tactic at this point isn't to double down on their conspiracy theories, it's to disavow them and move on. The picture of the ring that is better and not at funny angles with shadows and such clearly shows it's not Arabic writing. Give it up.
