CGC deserves 1 more year

Lets put a few things in perspective here.

GCG is currently making 3,500,000.00 per year. He has a 7,500,000.00 buy out for not preforming his duties as assigned or breaking his commitment to Auburn University.

United States Median Household Income - 50,054.00

State of Alabama Median Household Income - 42,000.00

So Gene this year alone is going to make 70 times what the average family is going to make in this country. And 83 times what the average family in this state is going to make. Lets say you have a good job and make 250,000.00 per year, it will take you 14 years to make the same thing that Gene is making this year.

Now we are supposed to feel sorry for this man? Lets not forget about that 7,500,000.00 buyout if Auburn decides to fire Gene for not doing his job.

That would equate to you begging your boss to give you another 150 years on your job for not doing your job. Gene is in a high profile job that is a pressure cooker. If you do the simple math, of course he is begging for 1 more year(or 70 years to the average joe)

To this date Gene has made about 18.5 million in 4 years including his buyout. that is about 370 years to the average joe

I would have my wife begging on FB as well. Perspective people.

Hate all you want.....IDGAS

Our military averages about 21-25,000 per year all while having to contend with rounds down range, and roadside bombs that might end their lives. Football coaches get ZERO SYMPATHY FROM ME. Pressure???? Go ask our military about what pressure really is.

He is in a pressure cooker relative to his job field. He is in no way in the same situation as anyone in the military

He should spend some of that money on having someone babysit his wife so she doesnt say anything stupid

Agreed...seen but never heard has always been my belief about coach's wives and mothers.

Money should not influence your decision to feel sorry for another. Honestly anyone who would post IDGAS is a little ridiculous.

Do your job on a teacher's salary for 15 years then come back & say that. I would love to get fired for 7 million dollars, they could even punch me in the face as I left and spit at me for that kind of cash. I don't feel sorry for him at all. Chizik is set for life and so are his kids for that matter. He deserves to be fired at the end of the season if he doesn't have a winning season. AU isn't paying him millions to have a team that stinks. 7-8 win seasons every once in a while is ok but not playing the

way this team has.

I've always disliked the hiring of CGC. With that being said, I think he gets one more year and if he doesn't get 9 or 10 wins in 2013 he gets the axe. No questions asked.
