Agreed...mostly. If thats all sports is too you then you have a very short sighted opinion of athletics. It has a funny way of revealing character even in those that are only spectators

Can't these downers wait till season end to post this crap? I am tired of reading this negativity stuff on this board. Most of the So called Auburn Family is very dissapointing, they like to beat the dead animal.... Calm down people, this season is not yet over.. we should support our team, these are our University players and coaches.. they need our support if you can't support who else will support them?.. Our fan base is sometimes disgusting...

Unfortunately, college football is a big business and CGC has greatly benefited from it. It's not a lack of support for the university, the players or even the coaches. The problem is, if CGC doesn't do something quick, regardless of if it is his fault or not, recruiting is going to suffer. We are already showing signs of an inability to develop talent. If recruits don't think they are going to get a shot at the NFL, the WILL go elsewhere.

Calling some Auburn fans "disgusting" is in poor taste. Fan is short for fanatic. College football is often celebrated because of the passion of its fans, especially in the SEC. Fans calling for a coaches head is nothing new.

It also comes with a higher price tag as a result of it's popularity. The University must take this into account when decisions are made. It is what it is.

I'd love to see us win out and eat crow, but there is nothing to date that gives me, and other Auburn faithful, hope for anything more than a couple of wins over homecoming opponents.

To date... I see a very good group of underclassmen that are doing everything in their power to win football games. Gabe Wright, Reese Dismukes, Tre Mason etc... will see many SEC victories.

With his character and winning the BCS I want him to be successful but when you are looking a winless SEC record in the eye, the worst record In 32 years, just after winning the BCS after 3 top 10 recruiting classes it's tough to defend. Losing 3-4 games but being competitive is one thing, being the worst team in the SEC totally different.

I havent forgotten, but football in the SEC(and more specifically Auburn) is a multimillion dollar business...

its amplified because we dont have pro teams...chizik is going to have to make tough decisions in the off season but barring a 3 win season he'll be back next year imo

Loeffler not playing to our strengths is going to get him fired(and imo rightfully so)

If there was anything i wish Chizik would do differently is stop holding back in the off season and let them hit...im a firm believer that those days under Tuberville having grueling practices on the intramural field built toughness and resiliency, something we sorely lack this year

I for one am thankful to have a forum where everyone's opinion can be heard regardless of how they feel about this team or staff. In the past on AE if you were unhappy with an aspect of Auburn you had to just keep it to yourself, which I found kinda counterproductive for a message board. I loved AE but I love being able to hear all angles even more.

I love Auburn. I am a fanatic. I want to see my favorite football team win. I am extremely unhappy with this staff. I wouldn't get away with the kind of performance this staff has displayed and I don't get paid anywhere near as much in my field. So, if I say chizik is stinking it up as is Loafer it's not because I'm not "ALL IN" etc, it's because I love Auburn and I want to win. All the mamby pamby reasons some people spout is not important to me. Win..just..freaking...win...

It's a sport. You play to WIN. You don't play to get a warm fuzzy feeling inside win or lose. Just my 2 cents.

I'd rather win at all costs than to have to lose and feel all warm and fuzzy about the family. Thank God some of you sunshine pumpers weren't leading the Allies during WWII. "Oh well we could lose this war but I love all of you!" (No I'm not comparing WWII to football or vice versa but you get the point.)
