I'm curious if anyone did the same

I was wondering if anyone here will admit if they did the same as I. Prior to the BCS championship I remember thinking if Auburn wins I will never get upset over Auburn football again. I never imagined I would be so tested on that thought. I admit I wasn't expecting another title by this year but never thought it would have gotten this bad. Since that night in Glendale Auburn is 9-10 with those 10 losses coming by an average of 20.4 points. I still say I wouldn't take anything for the 2010 season but I hope that this funk that is plaguing Auburn now can get worked out.

A lot of the angst and urgency has to do with the juggernaut across the state that is owning college football right now. With them blowing everybody out and us regressing horribly, it makes it that much worse.

bammer may have caused some of my angst last year, i guess, jealousy. This year is totally on auburn. Im not even hearing any sh__ from the bammers. I think they feel sorry for us. I have come to accept saban will keep bammer on top as long as he is there. I honestly dont think there is any other coach capable of that.

I think you are right. I don't hear anything from fans of our closest rivals at all because they can't belive how bad we have gotten in such a short time. That only makes it worse.

That is true. Haven't heard a whole lot from the other side as far as talking crap.

Nay4AU,

Once Wes split the uprights in Glendale, and saw there were no flags on the ground. I found myself engulfed in total serenity. I told myself the same thing that no matter what happened I wouldn't get upset again with Auburn Football.

For the most part that carried me thru last year, and I thought winning 8 games last year was the best we could do. This season is just disheartening. Would we have won 8 games without Dyer and Trotter, no we wouldnt have?

Despite returning 17 starters, the ones we lost have hurt more than people realize.

Same with my bammer friends. Why should they? With the crap CSL and CGC put on the field every week, they do the talking for the bammers.

Bama's success has little to do with my outlook. I could deal with an average to subpar season this year. I can't deal with a miserable excuse for a football team who can't get out of its own way, AND with the multitude of off-the-field issues we have had since the NCG. It wouldn't matter if LSU or Arkansas were the teams winning championships instead of Bama. It's being a cellar dweller in the big 3 sports over the past couple of years that has me perplexed, and we appear to be going backwards.

If Gus was still running the show, I think 8 wins could have been very possible!

I couldn't care less what some other team does. My angst has to do with watching the steady decline of the Auburn football program to what I view as the lowest point, with the most overall talent, I have seen in 45 years. After enduring all the off field issues we had in the last 10 months, I remember thinking I cant wait for the season to start so we can see some football and now this. I think it has just become too much. I also think most alums, fans, supporters have reached a breaking point and feel Auburn as well as the players deserve better. Mine came at some point in the Arky game.
