I only read the comments from the interview - I didn't listen to the audio. But, I never saw Turner Gill's name even mentioned in the text.

Barkley pretty much cut straight to the chase with his commentary. He's often times blount as a spoon, but he nailed the situation at AU.

What does that have to do with looking like the better hire than CGC at the time? Our coach was an equal total failure at ISU. Hindsight is the only justification for advocating CGC over Gill.

Yes he nailed it and by doing so he said two positives that I agree with when asked about a change at AU; he said he don't believe in someone being fired, also said that whatever problem people have about hiring petrino is nobody is flawless ( not in those words, but u get the idea), and what happened at Arkansas was personal and that was between him and his wife and that if AU was to make a change he would support it, even if it was petrino as head coach

Regardless of how you feel about Charles he is a very significant supporter of Auburn and Auburn sports especially. He has much more influence than any of us on here probably and I thought for a loud mouth he gave about as good an answer to those questions as you can.
