Just happened to see on AU Autograph Policy statement. Was it officially announced? Got my room booked before sold out and rates go through roof.

Fan Day is scheduled for August.

Room booked ? I hadn't really figured that there'd be a run for hotel rooms on A-Day. I guess it's a good sign if there is , though.

I just hope Gus has scrapped that gawd awful scoring system Chiz implemented. We don't need to give pts for sustained drives or TRYING, we need to reward effort by putting points on the score board, by finding the end zone or kicking the ball through the uprights.

I agree that the scoring system(?) last A-day was most confusing and hard to follow. I am looking forward to seeing the Gus offensive play in action again!!

I think the A Day game is going to have a very good showing this year.

I think I have read somewhere that he stated that it would not be the point system. Before someone says it I don't have a link.

Of course you are more nervous than him......at least on the outside. It takes much more balls to raise a kid that wants to put himself on the line. You did good Dad. At least that is what I say when my "kids" put themselves on the line. :).

HA! I'll have to remember that. He did get to see me play in a reunion game (yes full pad/full contact) at 40. I was able to tell him then "don't be the 40 year old AL Bundy wondering 'What if?'. Get out there and do it while you can!"

Lol I talked about that with my friends when I saw it was on 4-20 but I will be there with my family and my friends. Can't wait to see some of the Malzahn offense, also need to see how we look on defense, thats my biggest worry.

What's the average been for most recent A-Day attendance ? Anything over 35,000 would be surprising, imo.

Two thoughts play a real game. The nonsense we watched in years past is a waste of time.

Secondly, can the athletic department not coordinate events? A-Day should always be on a home baseball weeked.

I agree on both points. But seriously, the athletic department has missed some serious opportunities this year. With the basketball midnight madness fiasco, no home baseball on A-Day weekend, and some of the dumb antics on football weekends, they need to get it together.

ha! I think 50 is when you have to start worrying about hips (unless you're Bo). Nope. Not me. Completely shredded my rotator cuff for the 4th time, and torn ACL, MCL, and PCL. all repaired/replaced with hamstring muscle. the funniest thing about it is I wouldn't trade a second of it for the world! I've been a glutton for punishment/pain my whole life, so it doesn't bother me. ;D
