StatTiger 3,188
One of the positives from the 2013 Auburn A-Day game was the performances of Tre Mason and Cameron Artis-Payne. The two combined for 177-yards on 29 carries for 2 rushing TD's. Though they have different styles, both have the ability of identifying their running lanes quickly and getting north & south. If the two can remain healthy, Auburn should field a solid running game this upcoming season. Tre Mason draw play... One play that was called several times on Saturday was a delayed counter or draw play featuring both backs. On this play Auburn faces a 3rd & 3 coming out in a 3-WR set. Frazier makes a delayed hand off to Mason, who initially proceeds towards the A-gap. He then bounces the play outside to his left away from Cassanova McKinzy. Because Jay Prosch engages the DE (Craig Sanders), Patrick Miller can seal of McKinzy. Devonte Danzey (LG) pulls to his left and will engage Owens (LB) down the field to give Mason even more running room. It's Mason's quickness and vision that makes him a threat at RB and the reason why he will be one of Auburn's top "play makers" in 2013.
AUenginerd 16
Love me some Tre LaSoul! Came in as a last minute addition the class, was a 4 star but humble, works hard on and off the field, is well spoken and respectful, and keeps his head down and goes about his business. Oh, and he can catch squirrels and along with CAP will cause havoc this coming season! WDE!

IronMan70 3,322
I liked the way Miller and Prosch worked so well together on that blocking scheme. Miller makes the initial contact on Sanders, releases his block and then takes on McKinzy. Meanwhile, Prosch comes in right after Miller to complete the block on Sanders. Their timing on that blocking scheme was such that it neutralized both Sanders and McKinzy.
stealthyfan 124
Mason's biggest impact is a linebacker 8 yards downfield IMHO. . . .
