AU Ivory_dealer 2
Some games for special purpose wear all orange or all white but would love to see the crowd go all navy full time. It would give that dark look that we had in the 80's-90's that was really awesome looking and kind of intimidating to the visitor maybe. I kno Tubs started the all orange and it looks good but I believe it has kinda ran its coarse. Especially with the ups (and they're some way ups) but the down times also. I like the "new day" term more and more these days and AU taking on a new home look identity would be sweet. And yes maybe the will break out the navy Chicago Bears looking paints but that's another story. I believe if Gus and co. caught wind that the fans love this idea he would consider. He like the navy polos I've noticed lol I will see him at he Shoals Marriott. Would be a great ice breaker lol
au_bsci_04 407
YES YES YES!!!! I was so pumped when the navy helmet pic leaked a few years ago. All navy would look sick, give us a modern look, while still being traditional.
AU_Tiger_88 417
Never got into the all orange as you couldn't really find the right orange color in clothing. I stay away from full blown orange...don't need to be looking like a pumpkin in the fall!
auburn4ever 1,266
The all orange thing got really old with Tuberville and Chizik. I hope coach Malzahn will ask all AU Family to wear all blue.
AU Ivory_dealer 2
I just like the darker look to the crowd with the navy and night games would look awesome. What do you guys think of navy endzones? Don't cut my head off just a thought but I liked the SEC championship games where AU had the navy endzones with Auburn in their traditional endzone letters. Only orange with white outline Oh and would love to see navy helmets but blue pants for a second tier SEC game would be cool. Even with no helmet change. I know Under Armour would love to give us atleast one special uni
kingfish 76
For me, a stadium full of navy would be dull. I go for the orange. A stadium full of orange stands out better and is more intense. I'll take navy when going to the symphony.
Rodh73 0
Although I personally like to wear Navy, it is clearly not as noticeable as the orange. That can be an advantage especially at an away game.
BornaTiger 0
All navy is as close to a black out as we are gonna get and black outs look pretty menacing. Lets do it.
SumterAubie 3,125
In my mind Navy has always been the predominant Auburn color. The wifey and children know not to buy ol Dad anything orange for Auburn.
AU Ivory_dealer 2
I think Clem has the trademark all orange thing going for them. AU has a lot of "classic things going for it. All navy was pretty sweet for the 2010 Clemson and 2011 MSU game. I would be in favor of having all orange or all white games but navy is the primary. Would be part of the new day title we are carrying now. I'm just saying all orange at Jordan Hare needs a break and for more than a one game break a year. It's not a long term tradition we have to keep intact

AUTigers14 0
With the exception of the pockets of orange from the Clemson fans in 2010, I thought the whole crowd wearing navy worked the best. It seems like more people like wearing navy and especially at night it looks legit.

douggwilliams 61
I dont know, would all dark in a night game kind of dull the crowd out? I can see all white or all orange during the day being more effective. I wouldnt mind all navy as I already own a ton of shirts I could wear (had to buy the orange ones). Somebody with computer skills needs to run a simulation.
gAUlf 1
No thanks! Blue puts the viewers to sleep. Orange stands out way more and translates WAY better in the stadium, especially night games.

Agreed. Wear your Blue during the week and before and after the game. Wear Orange to JHS - it stands out better.
cptau 169
This was true then and still true now. In the 1980s Pat Dye was asked about whether his teams would ever break out the orange jerseys. Dye quickly answered, "No, Auburn's colors are blue trimmed in orange, not orange trimmed in blue." Dye also said, “The Auburn I remember was pretty damn tough in those blue jerseys.” The Auburn "Big Blue" Look
MDM4AU 338
No thanks! Blue puts the viewers to sleep. Really? I mean, our play in games like the 3-2 MSU game might have done this, but I doubt the color of the crowd is going to. If the color of the crowd puts you to sleep, the orderlies are probably late getting you your water pill and prune juice and putting you to bed. Lol! NoALtiger 4,109
I got in to the all-orange like I got in to the whole "Jungle" thing Tubbs tried to ram down our throats for a season or two. Nada. I don't wear orange shirts. Auburn shirts? Constantly. Orange? No. Still rockin the Navy baby. Ha!

Like not knowing how he lost his pants and wallet in Lake Martin. Or that Gene Chizik would be the coach in 2013 if he lost every game in 2012. Yea I know the field is named in his honor, and his name is displayed in the stadium. In big ORANGE letters . That jersey concept is plain hideous BTW. Now that's intimidation! Orange (other than trim) is for clowns (and Clemson).
