autigeremt 7,250
Leaving people unprotected and defenseless in a dangerous environment with information to support added security measures is the first screw up. The second one was leaving them to die when resources were available to give them a fighting chance. The rest is theater and critical evaluation. My biggest problem with the whole deal is they let these people die without giving them a chance to live. If your party is more important than that, GOP or Democrat, then we have problems that go beyond a nightmare in Libya.

AURaptor 1,137
I love how we're telling our enemies that we don't have anywhere near the quick response ability our military has billed to have, in or around the part of the world which has been the focus of most of our military for the past 20 years. Great job. He said all he knows is what he's read in the media. A media which is almost entirely been in the bag for the Obama administration. It is an issue because you accuse me of defending party over everything else and here is a highly respected, uniquely informed Republican who says your full of it on this issue. Besides, I've never been a registered Democrat so you can't have it both ways. Find something else to hurl insults my way instead of my patriotism. You keep inferring I am a right winger and I'm not. Do we have an accord? So what are you? How do you identify yourself? What are your core beliefs on the key issues facing us today? I am a 21st Century Libertarian. I believe in a "realistic" application of our nations founding. While I'd love to think we could get back to the core principals of liberty I know we cannot in our current society. However, I do think we should do our best to adhere to individual responsibility as the basis for our nations core values. If individuals work towards a common goal based on sound morals and rule of law the community is advanced and progresses as one. We don't need people coming in with their own ideology and creating special interest groups when individual responsibility is the focal point. Militarily I think we should be the strongest nation on earth, but use it only in a defensive posture unless the threat we face is credible and real. Preemptive strikes on sovereign land should only be done when that nation has attacked us or used groups of people with a common interest to attack our nation or it's people. Domestically I think the government should provide an environment for economic growth but not intervene except to prosecute injustice. I'm against government using its power to social engineer. It's up to the local communities and state government to decide what's best for their particular issues of the day. I could go on, but Rand Paul is someone I admire along with his father and I also respect Dennis Kucinich.
