Ticket Prices

What are some of the average ticket prices for 2013 Football games?

Many of you know I've moved out west and was looking to go take a look at the "Smurf Turf" at Bronco Stadium. $74 each is what I'm finding even for crappy seats for the Air Force Game. http://www.fbschedul...ll-schedule.php Well, that isn't through the school so maybe they are cheaper at the ticket office.......if you can even just walk up and buy them.

I just thought that was outrageous. That's well over $150 for tickets and a snack just for my husband and I to go to a game. Luckily his office is only a block or so away from the stadium so we can park in his parking place without having to pay for that.

Maybe I'm just cheap. ;)

LOL, seeing BSU's schedule they all look like low games.

Mid level SEC games are usually $100.

Rival games are usually around $300

FBS games are usually $40

Non conference games are usually face-$100

Are you sure about AU prices? I saw Wash State tickets on Stub Hub for $49 a couple days ago......and most SEC tickets are in the 60s except for Bama. Paid $60 for AU-USCe in Columbia two years ago in the club seats section which was a premium ticket. AU tickets same price anywhere in the stadium...look for that to change in the years to come. http://www.ticketcity.com/college-football-tickets/sec/auburn-tigers-football-tickets.html

i think i ended up paying $55 a piece for my 2 tickets to WSU this season

Should be an interesting game....have fun. Seems to be the current market value...but I don't know the actual face value. IMO companies like Stub Hub and the like are just legalized scalpers and I hate that they seem to have access to so many tickets before AU fans do....especially for single game tickets. Seems to me that most schools have taken the easy way out...just sell the tickets to whoever wants them and let the fans fend for themselves with these internet scalpers. I hate it.

The prices I quoted are what I have sold tickets for over the last 10 years.

I can understand that Best.....but you mentioned "face" which is not the same as what you were able to sell for. "Face" for AU tickets is middle range of the SEC and last season I think ranged from 40 or so for non-conference to 70 or so. I've gotten tickets at the game...took the risk to show up without one on a number of occasions and usually paid face or less. You just never know.

ThIs lists the average price of a SEC season ticket game. Auburn is in the middle for cost.

For Boise state, you might be better off buying season tickets at $230 per seat and sell the unused tickets.

From my experience stub hub and like websites are much cheaper for non conference games. As the game gets closer you can find end zone seats for under $25 as opposed to $45 through the ticket office.

Conference games are the exact opposite. If you can find single game tickets through the ticket office they are normally cheaper.

Last year was kind of different lots of people were getting rid of tickets not to witness the best downs.

Prices from the university for single game tickets will not come out for about another 2 weeks to a month.

I give tickets I am not going to use to youth organizations with a little gas and game day money.

Is tax deductable too. I did not claim any of last years tickets that I donated.

I just ordered my season books. The cost per book is $850, $400 for TUF donation and $450 for the actual tickets. The problem with all this is that the face value of all seats are the same regardless of location. My tickets are great (45 yard line) and I've had the same seats for over 30 years. But bad seats have the same face value. So for me the tradeoff would be........if you have good seats pay the TUF and keep your seats but if you don't just go out on the street on game day and buy them (usually below face value). You might get scalped for a big game or two along the way but overall you will come out cheaper.

Proud.....It does seem strange that all tickets carry the same face value at AU but I guess if you factor in the TUF "donation" the gross cost of a ticket carries an appropriate premium for the better seat location. Most NFL teams scale seat prices according to location and while you can still see Cam play in Charlotte for about $40 you had better bring your binos 'cause you are going to be a long way from the field. Their single game seat prices range from $39 to $97 and your nice 45 yard line tickets would require a $20,000 PSL. Professional sports whether at the NFL or NCAA level are expensive and you really have to be a serious fan (or have a good CPA) to buy a season ticket.

At this moment the cheapest season ticket you could purchase on stub hub is about $850 after the service fee. That gets you in the end zone. That may get cheaper the closer we get to the first game.

Why buy from stub hub or other ticket outlets. AU sells season tickets to the public from their website. I have bought my season tickets through the website the past 3 years. Usually go on sell to the public on 1 June. Last year I paid $450 a seat, which is the same this year. The only draw back is seat selection is up to what they give you. I moved from through three different sections, all north end zone (which is fine by me as I like those seats) but no consistency from year to year. I joined TUF this year and was able to better control my seat location (still in north end zone). But don't pay $850 to an outlet when you can get them straight from the University for $450.

From this ticket seller, the prices seem based on where the seats are. http://www.ticketliquidator.com/tix/tickets.aspx?evtid=2078377&utm_medium=3077930&utm_source=cjid&cjid=3077930

I think once the school has them ready to be sold, my husband can walk down to the ticket office during lunch and see what he can get for us.

Will Auburn be playing out west next year at Washington State?

That sounds like a plan....just out of curiosity I checked three re-seller sites and lowest ticket prices ranged from $59 to $74 for what looks like the same sections in the stadium. Gotta believe that all of those are above face value right now.

After the season we just came off us, the university or athletic department knew if they upped the price for 2013 tickets, they would be in deep deep trouble.
