ellitor 34,051
Cameron Sims, WR Monroe, LA (Ouachita Parish) Ht: 6-3.5 | Wt: 190 | 40: 4.60 - Picked up an Auburn offer on 4/26/13 - Lead Recruiter: J.B. Grimes - He tweeted he is visiting Auburn June 2nd-4th - Averaged a gaudy 24 yards per catch last season Offers: Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, California, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Louisiana-Monroe, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Southern Miss, TCU, Tennessee, Texas Tech, USC and Washington, among others. 247Sports: 4* (Top247 - No. 125 Overall) Rivals: 4* (Rivals250 - No. 245 Overall) Scout: 4* Sims can overpower defensive backs for the ball or run past them and catch the ball down the field. He is still developing, but he has so much raw talent and potential. He has great size, he extends to the ball well, and he is surprisingly quick off the ball. He can catch the ball in traffic and he can stretch the field vertically. He is still more of a raw route-runner, but that will improve. He is a big, strong wideout. - Chad Simmonshttp://auburn.scout.com/a.z?s=6&p=8&c=1&nid=6458513 Highlights
AU Ivory_dealer 2
Looks like a good player and a nice vertical jump and range on those grabs. Looks like he is a big fish in a smaller pond on a lot of those plays but could be a weapon at any highschool. Glad he he's staying for a few days on his visit

Dixie1860 27
This is a kid we need this year but one I hope we are able to hold off (til NSD) in attempts to land THE guys. (THE = Top 5* at WR)
gman87 405
If a kid like Sims wants to commit you take it. Worry about how to squeeze those 5*s in later.
autan 813
Sims seems to be the odd man out in LA. LSU has not offered I don't think. They have a Texas 4 star and three others (almost locks) in LA rated higher than Sims. He is very good and may be one of our best chances for an impact WR. Sims would probably pick UAT if he gets a committable offer but I like AU chances right now.

ellitor 34,051
4-star wide receiver Cameron Sims from Ouachita Parish in Monroe, La., visited Auburn over the last few days. He said he really enjoyed his visit and Auburn would be among his favorites when he comes out with a top five later this summer. Sims said he didn't know of any other schools that would definitely be in his top five -- just Auburn so far. http://auburn.247sports.com/Board/42/Quick-update-on-4-star-WR-Cameron-Sims-Auburn-visit-19090323
Dixie1860 27
I like our chances to sign a few very good WR's this class. LA is loaded, and it seems like there are a bunch of very good 4* kids in our "area" so to speak. I wish we could get the Malone kid from Nashville though. He may be the best of them all. austudnt23 1,432
Sims has offer from bammer and is a stud at wr! I expect Sims or Rudolph to go along with Williams at wr right now. Shaq Davidson really enjoyed his trip to AU also but USCeast was big leader before hand.
CameronCrazy 1,111
The updated 247 rankings are out and this guy got another jump! The more I see this guy, the more I hope that he ends up in Orange & Blue. Hopefully Alabama getting Kief and LSU getting the other WR's out of Louisiana push this guy our way. I would do a backflip if 23 is right and we end up with him and D. Williams!

AUBigCat 17
LSU out?? Good grief how many stud WRs are from La this year?? Or does LSU only want to take 1-2? Either way I sure hope Mr. Sims finds his way into an Auburn uniform!

Either way I sure hope Mr. Sims finds his way into an Auburn uniform! Not sure how many they are taking but they have 2 WRs committed now plus they are waiting on D'haquille Williams, Speedy Noll, Malicha Dupree, and Trey Quinn who all have LSU offers. Sims does not have an LSU offer and may not want one since he has said all along that he plans on getting out of Louisiana.

au_bsci_04 407
Southern University is in Hammond, about 45 minutes East of Baton Rouge. LSU is a large favorite right now with both Dupree and Noil.
Dixie1860 27
Sims and Quinn would work for me. I hope we get Williams as well but one year isn't a lot of time. If we can get a Quinn instead wouldn't that be better in the long run? I guess Williams would be ready to go as soon as he got here and wouldn't have to be developed so that makes having him here better as it gives some of the young WR's time.
