Cooper Wallace

Eagle's Claw

Recommended Posts

NOTE: This thread title was amended. It was Cooper Wallace, not Cole Bennett, who had the two turnovers.

The main factor I see why this game was so close were the 2 crucial turnover's by CB...

Very dissapointing play by him. IMO... This game would have been a blowout without these turnover's... The interception hit him in chest, AND the fumble looked like it could have been an incomplete pass BUT a Tight End should never get stripped by a little Defensive Back.

I am not dogging him. I am sure that noone feels worse than he does right now. BUT Auburn dominated the entire game and should have blown Alabama out without those 2 mistakes... Auburn just couldn't get the momentum in the first half.

I really hope we don't make those type's of mistake's come bowl time...

A win is a win on the road in the Iron Bowl.

War Eagle!

don't forget...cooper was the fullback blocking for tre smith the last time over there..,that, in my view, makes him a genuine, bonafied alabama KILLER...part of what in time, and already is, will be remembered as a landmark game in the au/ua series...cut cooper some slack...war eagle all over the world

eagles claw you absolutely and totally suck. You were the #1 jc basher on this board. Thats about all you ever showed up to do. Now he's great so lets find someone else to beat up on. That is just plain pathetic. JMO.

I think if we slow the game film down enough and get enough of our resident critics to analyze every move by every player, we could probably find something to complain about on every play.

SHEEEEEEESH.....give me a break!!!!!!!!!

I think I saw a guy only giving 99% on one play. I'm not naming names til I'm sure.

I think I saw that particular play, too ... from my spot in front of my TV where I was giving 100% to watching this game. Hey, total team effort & stuff. :au: WDE

I still think it was a fumble after watching the replay, but it was close.

As far as the other play, yes the ball hit him in the hands but it was thrown behind him. That is a very tough catch to be going one direction and reaching back to catch the ball. It was also thrown with a lot of velocity.

Besides the fumble and tipped pass he had two false starts that created a problem. He must have been tight in the game or something. Although he made some mistakes he also caught of few nice passes. Coop has been great and durable this year.

Cooper seems to play hot or cold. I've seen him make great catch and runs, like in the uga game. Then he has games where his hands turn to stone... UT ( dropped pass in the end zone ) and also in the bama game.

I guess since he had a poor showing vs bama, he'll be due for a good game vs UT next time around.

coop didn't play well, and i'll readily admit that i wasn't happy with him during the game. but honestly he didn't cost us anything. we won. we beat bama. that never, ever, ever gets old. we're the state champs, the sec west champs, now we have to focus on being sec champs. hopefully, if we get that one, folks'll come to their senses and give us a shot at something more.

cooper has put together EASILY the best year he's had in an auburn jersey. before this year, his best career game was at fullback (and he's a lifetime tight end), he was the guy who fumbled away a score at florida, in short, he wasn't impressive. this year he's been a legit option in the passing game so i can let one game slide. war damn eagle!
