I guess i have to give kudos that they are finally openly admitting what we were told two years ago.

'TOMMY VIETOR: Bret, a couple of things. I was in the Situation Room that night, okay. We didn't know where the ambassador was definitively.

BAIER: Was the president in the Situation Room?

VIETOR: No. And the fact that your network at one time reported that he watched video feed of the attack as it was ongoing is part of what I think is a pattern of inaccurate --

BAIER: Where was the president?

VIETOR: In the White House. Let me finish my initial statement. The notion that we could, you know, divine motives from a drone feed I think is wrong. And I also think this idea that the military had the capability to rescue those individuals but chose not to is I think extremely unfair to the military. And Admiral Mullen said basically the opposite."

Did the administration ever say otherwise? :dunno:

They wouldn't say until Mr. "Dude" opened up yesterday. Of course, according to Jr., the President thought so much about his ambassador and the US Embassy that he sat at his desk in the Oval Office and waited on briefings instead of getting in the situation room and making a call for a response.

The rumor was that Obama was playing cards with his guy-friend, Reggie Love, at the time of the attack and couldnt be bothered.

Would not shock me one bit.

Actually they were altogether. Jeff Spicoli, Ferris Beuller, Jesse Montgomery, Chester Greenburg , Dude Lebowski and even Cheech and Chong were all there taking turns on the bong in the Oval Office before Oman headed out to Vegas to raise some much needed campaign money. These are the kind of clowns running the country now.

Not sure if serious or joking...

The dude gets my vote.

Man it doesn't take much to get ya'lls hearts all a-flutter.

Please refrain from setting your hair on fire, it stinks the place up. ;)

Pisses me off that you don't care because you turn your head. Burn that!

I am completely open to any information on this. As far as I can tell, there's nothing significant about this particular piece of information other than the fact it wasn't volunteered earlier.

Is that right?

Are you saying he couldn't make a call for a response from the Oval office?

He didn't make any call from anywhere....and once again a president leaves their own to die.

So whether or not he was in the "situation room" is irrelevant. Correct?

I'm in no mood to get into a quirky, typical back and forth with you. I hope they rot.

Look this is written communication. I respect the written word. I assume a written statement deserves a precise, literal interpretation. That message is the only thing I can objectively respond to.

While I accept the responsibility to ask for clarification if that message is not plainly apparent, I refuse to accept responsibility for someone else's lack of skills in expressing their point. Nor will I accept responsibility for someone futilely attempting to use words to express inchoate feelings of frustration, anger or rage. That's their problem not mine.

I can't help you don't get the importance of all this. Once again, you have no skin the game. You have no clue where I'm coming from, whether you read it in a book or on a website. You can't even begin to see it for what it is.

And thus is the status of America when President O'Blase' is in charge.

Cant be bothered spending $40M on vacations nevermind what that cash could do for some inner-city youth...

I don't think anybody is blaming the military. The military can't make a move like that without presidential approval. They should have been given orders to go there and save what they could. If they couldn't execute an effective rescue that would have been unfortunate but at least an effort would have been made. The military was never ordered in, so it's not their fault. It's the administration's fault for not giving the military the go ahead.

The problem isn't where he was, it's that he FAILED, just like Clinton failed when he had the perfect chance to kill Bin Laden. Over 3000 Americans lost their lives on 9-11 because he failed to act. Let's hope that Obama's failure doesn't lead to something similar.

Obama's greatest failure is his insistence on using lying as his primary leadership MO. Dude lies when the truth woulda been better. I swear, we all hear that all politicians lie but this guy has either taken the craft to a new level, or, he and those around him are simply not smart enough to pull them off and get caught with alarming frequency. Pick one. I dont think Obama is stupid but I definitely feel he lacks sufficient judgement acumen to be POTUS

Here's another twist to this.....the Administration knows where three of the perps are of this but are "waiting" it out because they don't want to infringe on the sovereignty of another country. It hasn't stopped them before.

The rumor was that Obama was playing cards with his guy-friend, Reggie Love, at the time of the attack and couldnt be bothered.

Dude, where's my ambassador?

If Jesse and Chester had been there; something would have been done.

Would not shock me one bit.

Not shocked you're quick to believe rumors consistent with your biases.

TEx, Vietor just confirmed much of the rumors.
