My wife and I are on a roadtrip headed West. I like to visit the campuses and stadiums of major universities. So far we have been to Missouri, Kansas and Kansas St. The stadiums at Missouri and Kansas are ugly and small by most SEC school standards..However, KSU has a new stadium that is very nice. We were able to go on the field and make pics on the 50 yd. line with no one else around. I even stood under the goal post and signaled "TD Auburn." Wish I could be there Sept.18.

A buddy and I are traveling up in September for the game and we're trying to find the best means for lodging/tailgating if anyone has information. We're thinking of getting an RV or may just a truck and some tents. I picked up from a K State board that most hotels are out of town.

I know there are motels in Junction City, which is about 17 miles from Manhattan, KS. If you booked early you can always cancel prior to the game date. I am sure there is lodging in Manhattan.

What is the capacity of the new KSU stadium? My guess is that it is not more than 55,000. Kansas University is by far a more basketball oriented school. KSU is pretty much all football. Bill Snyder has done a miraculous job there. However, he is over 70, and is pretty much in the twilight of his career. This is going to be our toughest game for 2014. Most folks do not believe me. We win there, and we win the SEC. I see us winning this one, but it will not be easy.
