2015 4* OG/C Dallas Warmack (Alabama signee)

An article in al.com today says that Dallas Warmack has been in Auburn, because "I'm just trying to decide if Alabama is the right fit or if another school is."

Regarding his commitment to Alabama, Warmack said, "They got two centers and three guards (in the 2014 class). I don't feel too comfortable about that."

He seems to have had good discussions with the Auburn coaches.

He said he will likely visit USCe in a couple of weeks.

I don't have any insider information about this. Maybe others can add to this.

It would be cool to flip both Ledbetter and Warmack from Bama. Especially since Bama took Casher from us. Payback.

Casher lost his sopt to Xavier. Bammer had a hand in him losing his spot, but if AU had wanted him when he came to talk to the staff, then AU would have had him.

Casher was not taken from us. We moved on.

Absolutely, 100% agree. I feel the same that Casher's ship sailed and he didn't want to admit he had waited too long so he went his only other route, then made it look like HE had chosen that route. It is obvious that all of us have waited too long on an opportunity in our lives and lived to regret it. However, we learn from it and move on. I'm sure that will happen in this young man's case also. :wareagle: :wareagle:

Does anyone really believe this? Sounds more like he running propaganda for bama. He will come out of this saying that he has seen AU and UGa, or wherever he goes, and still thinks bama is the best place. Will say his commitment never waivered - which will be the most honest comment made. Ill put a BBQ sandwich from JHS on it!

Well, I didn't intend to make this thread about Casher.

But ....

By October of last year, Casher had already de-committed from Auburn, but had not yet yet committed to Bama. Auburn had 15 recruits and according to recruiting accounts that I saw, the door was still open for Casher. Auburn was still waiting for Andrew Williams and Rashaan Evans, and still had roster spots open.

Casher committed to Bama at the end of October. At that point, Auburn had 16 commitments and was still recruiting Jordan Prestwood for the OL.

So, from what I saw happening, if Casher had re-committed to Auburn, Auburn would have taken him.

Of course, I don't sit in the meeting rooms with the coaches discussing recruiting. Maybe you guys do.

Some might not sit in meetings with coaches during recruiting discussions but they hear what goes on from people that are in those rooms. Also, coaches have relationships with people outside of the AD so I'm sure they talk occasionally.

He had his chance but wasted it.Plus, his family was pressured by the rec, (or bullied),to go to bama.

I do not think Warmack is playing us. He is not from Alabama so he is not being pressured locally to go to Alabama. I think he has been honest. He wants to go where he feels his opportunity is best and he genuinely likes AU, our staff and the success we have had; plus he thinks Alabama may have a backlog of people playing his position and AU may give him an opportunity to start several years.

AU Centers typically start for years and years. He will have some competition next year with Dampeer, but he will be a Senior next year too.

We moved on because we expected Casher to flip anyway.

Not Necessarily. We moved on because he kept changing his mind and the staff fely uneasy about how Cash responded to the final demands we gave him.

Translation: we didn't want to risk the bad PR of a flip

FIFY. PR had no part in it. If that was the case we would have cur ties with Evens before that last weekend

No no no we didn't get him so we didn't want him anyway...

Believe what you want, but what was said is the truth.

No no no we didn't get him so we didn't want him anyway...

If he doesn't want us...why should we care about him going elsewhere? Coaches are pretty good at reading most situations and no point in wasting effort over a guy who won't be straightforward about his plans. and I think I would give 50:50 odds of reversing your comment....we didn't want him so we didn't get him. :-\
