AP voter Jon Wilner still unimpressed by Auburn, has the Tigers No. 14, 4 spots lower than any other voter.

@JamesCrepea

AP Voter Jon Wilner is an idiot.

No, not an idiot, just extremely biased.

looking at his poll I would argue that point with you. He's the kind of guy who announces that he is leaving Greg Maddux off his HOF ballot to try and get people to talk about him Edited by dire_tiger

He's the same kind of person that would tell Adrian Peterson that he's a terrible man for beating his child with a twitch...

I know it won't last too much longer when teams starting playing each other but... Five... count 'em... Five SEC West teams in the AP Top 10. To think 5 SEC teams is one thing (it happens almost every year at some point), but to all be from the same division....

Since the polls meant NOTHING...why do we even care about Wilner?

His vote is irrelevant

It seems like as much as anything else he's at least attempting to give teams a huge bump for impressive wins over ranked opponents. His top 3 are Texas A&M, Oregon and LSU. I'm sure if asked about Auburn his point would be that Arky and SJSU aren't nearly as impressive as those other wins. I'd expect a bump if we beat K-State.

I still have plenty of issues with his poll (namely Ok State and Wisconsin being ranked above us along with BYU and others), but that'd be my guess at his reasoning.

Although looking closer, he dropped us from 5 to 12 from last week, so the more I look at this the less I have a clue what on earth is actually going through this guy's head.

This is the wrong thread for that. Also, if you saw the photos of that 4 year old then you too would know that AP did cross the line and was wrong.

I think that indicates extreme bias, but that's just my opinion. He ovbiously doesn't mind teams playing cupcakes since he still has bama ranked very high after playing 3.

I wasn't talking about the 4 year old. I was talking about week 4 rankings.

To be fair, Wilner's rankings are all sorts of screwed up. He had us in the 5 spot last week, and has moved a lot of teams around week-to-week. LSU jumped from 10 to 3 this week in Wilner's poll, which is a pretty fantastic reward for shutting out Louisiana-Monroe. Sure would like to know his methodology.

Georgia ranked above Carolina in both polls.

Dumb.

And Stanford above USC.

And Ohio State is ranked above Virginia Tech who is ranked above East Carolina.

Yep. Makes sense.

There's one in every crowd.

Funny about this Wilner dude. Check this out (from last year): http://www.alligatorarmy.com/2013/10/13/4834146/jon-wilner-week-8-ap-poll-ballot

The title of the article: "The 16 problems with Jon Wilner's Week 8 AP Top 25 ballot"

To paraphrase, the article parrots the opinion that Wilner is an idiot.
