"Boobs on the ground"? ...Oh FOX (face to palm):

Seems to me the most significant "boobs" involved in this story were the two males who felt it would be funny to inject chauvinistic comments regarding the female anatomy or stereotypes about the ability of women to drive/park. One wonders if Greg Gutfeld or Eric Bolling would show similar disrespect for an American aviator carrying out a similarly dangerous mission?

Of course, if any pilot finds himself or herself "on the ground" at the target there's been a serious problem. Pretty sure that's the last place Major Al Mansouri intended to be on her bombing run!

On Wednesday, two of the male co-hosts of Fox News’ The Five “ruined” their female counterpart’s appreciation of one of the pilots who participated in Monday’s bombing of ISIS forces in Syria.

“ISIS, you’ve been bombed by a woman,” Kimberly Guilfoyle said. “The first female pilot, piloting for the [united Arab Emirates], there she was leading the strikes, dropping the bombs on ISIS Monday night.”

“Major Mariam Al Mansouri is who did this. I wish it was an American pilot,” she continued, “I’ll take a woman doing this any day. I hope that hurt extra bad for [iSIS] because in some Arab countries, women can’t even drive.”“The problem is after she bombed it,” Greg Gutfeld quipped, “she couldn’t park it. I salute her!”

I don't know the ratings of that particular show. I know that there is a show on there on Saturday, I believe it is the one Neil Cavuto hosts. It gets higher ratings than any of the weekday prime time shows on CNN. A Saturday morning show that gets higher ratings than prime time. That should tell you something.

Actually they claim the ISIS nut jobs are afraid of being killed to by a woman in combat. The Kurds have women soliders, now this. Apparently if an ISIS guy is killed by a female it jeopardizes them getting into to heaven.

AUUSN......I didn't bring up choice of news you did. And yeah I appreciate the courage to strap herself into an F-16. The F-16 was before my time but I have strapped myself into an earlier vintage jetfighter. Have you? I did duty on a carrier, have you?

And she isn't the first female to do that and it wouldn't even be news except for her nationality. I could (but won't) even say you are being sexist

Actually, the Major's mammary glands and/or parking abilities would have never even crossed my mind if these two male idiots hadn't brought it up!

I also suspect, had a "liberal" made similar comments about a female American pilot, he/she would have been verbally crucified by the two Fox commentators. And I can't say I wouldn't have agreed with them under those circumstances.

(The ratings/viewership of this program or network are completely irrelevant. I didn't hear about this from watching Fox news, but from seeing the on-line site I linked. However, I would find the comments equally disrespectful had they come from CNN, ABC, or MSNBC pundits instead.)

Yes it happens in everyday life. But someone holding an on-camera position on a national (dare we say "fair and balanced"?) news network is supposed to have such a filter and use it. It should be a prerequisite for the position.

quietfan...I agree but it's not the first time it's happened and won't be the last. I can give you worse examples but it would only prolong things. Certainly one example is Obama yesterday comparing the unrest in in the Middle East to that in Ferguson, Texas. That's ridiculous.

As I said in my last post above I think this whole thing has been an overblown takeoff of "boots" on the ground" with no harm intended. JMHO.
