What I don't understand is the visceral reaction to the so called "occupy movement".

It's a large protest in NYC, so are you really surprised there was some anarchic activity by a few of the participates?

The major point is they had the problem clearly identified. I find it fascinating that so many people are reactionary about this. I don't get it. Is it OK to have a 'Big Brother' as long as it's in the "commercial" sector?
