If you didn't see it you missed the best bowl game of the bowl season. Western Kentucky was up on Central Michigan 42-14 in the 3rd quarter. Central Michigan chipped away until it was 49-42 with :01 second left (sound familiar?) with the ball on their own 25 yard line. Of course you know a hail mary is coming. It did. It was complete at about the 30 and after a series of laterals, Central Michigan WR dives for the pylon and scores. Then instead of OT, with all the momentum of the game, Central Michigan coach decides to go for Two Point Conversion and the pass was broken up. They lose 49-48. Exciting stuff!!

They probably win it in overtime. I liked the call until it didn't work though, lol.

I didnt care for the call, if it works great, but if not thats extremely crushing to lose right after an amazing play like that. Plus I wanted more time of watching football lol

I agree. CM had the momentum and WK had only scored one time in the 2nd half. I would have taken it to OT. I don't like the corner fade in that situation either.

Exactly what I said after the play, I wanted to see OT, but if youre going for 2 i dont agree with that play call.

The scoring play was nuts. Not only complete the DEEP ball that everybody knows is coming, but to successfully pass it backwards that many times after the long completion and score was awesome. I was at a friends house and as soon as we realized they were going for two, we all said, that's stupid. Why would you do that in that situation? You have all the momentum in the world. Why risk it on that when you can take it to OT and given the momentum you have, likely win it there? Going for the win was stupid, but the play call was atrocious. If you are going to do that, at least give the play a chance to work. Give him something that has options and isn't restricting yourself to one absolute chance. At least with a roll out he can run it if it opened up. Horrible play call.

The clock as usual made all the difference. Lots of seconds added back on the clock around the 2 minute mark based on when time outs were called.

That was crazy to watch. I had the game on more as background noise when it was 42-14, then I looked up and saw the score was 49-35 with 3 minutes left. I knew something cool was about to go down.

Was the CMU head coach in that much of a hurry to get home? I know its Christmas Eve and all, but it IS the Bahamas...
